Las Vegas Shooting: Crowd Warned You Are All Going To Die

Article I read said the guy was from Mesquite, Texas, (he was born/raised in CA,) not Florida. The police talked to his "almost" neighbor in Mesquite, Nevada; he'd bought one of the two houses next door and was trying to buy the second one for his mother, then abruptly said he was moving back to Vegas. It's sounding like he bought guns on the way north from Texas; he had also bought a number of guns at the gun shop in Mesquite, NV. (Father is a volunteer police officer there, Mother said he was helping the police gather the evidence from that store today, but I suspect he won't have much info's past the guy having passed background checks and bought guns there legally. I think she said the store was called "Guns and Guitars" or something like that.)

Mesquite is a small golf resort town, not quite an "everyone knows everyone else" but it's close. My folks moved there with all their buddies... I suppose four... maybe as much as six years ago (hard to pin down as my folks snowbird'ed from Alaska for many, many years and don't recall when they bought "Casa del colibri") There's a casino, beautiful and challenging golf courses, and... a shit ton of retired Alaska officers and generals. (Enough Alaskan's to require their get-together's to be held at the casino's banquet hall... Well over 100 of them my mother guesses.) That said, they'd never met nor seen the guy there.

Has the police confirmed anything about this incident? Where are the 2 people who said this? Have they been interrogated?

Just asking. Curious minds want to know.

Las Vegas shooting: Crowd 'warned you're all going to die'

I think there is reason to believe he may have not acted alone. It's way to early to tell but the motive and profile seems a bit strange so far. If he was just a bad luck gambler, that doesnt seem reason to carry out a massacre, then there appears to be no history of mental illness. Listening to radio shows today there were many caller ins' with interesting info. One woman had a relative who was hospitalized from the scene with a 22 round. many ex military called swore up and down that the sound of an AK-47 is unmistakable on the audio... so is it possible there was more than one shooter? If he had 20 + guns... that amount of ammo, probably belt feed rounds or drum feed rounds , would take a lot to come by and very expensive if you ask any gun expert. This hardly seems like someone who just snapped... there was so much premeditation, including a camera mounted to see when police were coming.
a .22 round? Probably some simpleton in the crowd firing back and hit an innocent bystander.

Well, that is if the report from the hospital was correct. of course at this point theres a lot more unknown than is actually known... it only raises the question.

Losing money is a big reason why people snap. And some people don't have empathy for others. You and I couldn't imagine doing such a thing

yes, that's what I mean ^^^

That girl was celebrating her 21st birthday in Vegas and she was told by a man and a woman: "Everybody is going to die! "

The two were escorted away by security.

Any word about those two by the police yet?

Skye, the video says she was told by a woman they're all going to die, and that woman was with another WOMAN and not a Man....

just so ya know....

we know the woman was not his girl friend....so who? very interesting........

Does anybody know how many rooms was the shooter occupying?

Is this right? Are the rooms in the Mandalay really that big??? Does anybody has a plan of the floor?

Because to me that looks like the windows of 3 or 4 or 5 rooms. One room can not be that huge!! or am I wrong.

Again, these are things that I don't understand.

Somebody on another thread said that the plans show that those two windows are not in one room or one suite :dunno: if true it is all even more mysterious.

He is such an unusual shooter in the sense that he doesn't conform to the psychological characteristics of the typical mass murderer.
OMG, do we really have TYPICAL MASS MURDERERS?

Oh wait, are you implying that they are all Democrats or socialists?

OK, gotcha

The shooter had a seven star rating at the casinos - that's the highest "big money to be had, spoil this fucker" rating you can get.

If that's the case, it changes the situation. Strange......

Clearly he was on a suicide mission, so I think it is fair to assume that this was his primary goal. Why suicide? I think that's where we'll find the answers.

Snapping doesn't usually involve planning.

First you snap, then you plan. Crazy is crazy. I think murdering for money is insane. Rational on a specific level, but insane nonetheless. That's a mental illness all in itself. "Insanity defense"... no... all are insane
