With all this talk of Joe Wilson, his lack of respect for Obama and the Presidency and the general lack of civility in the country. The requirement of many Democrats for Joe Wilson to fall upon his knees at Pelosi's feet and be reprimanded.

One begins to wonder at the inception of this quandary. Perhaps Joe is just an outward sign of the Clinton/Lewinsky years and the fallout resulting.

I am a true American, fuck the government, our forefathers said the same thing to their government ... twice. The American motto is "fuck the government". If they want respect, they earn it, like everyone else.

Mary Mageline is married to this idiot and she is as conservative as you can get. How she does not kill him is beyond me. They must not talk shop at all at home otherwise they would have called it splits along time ago.

They should move on, he made a mistake by shouting out during a speech to congress, he apologized, made more money for his campaign, but if the dems press this there will be calls for Reid to apologize to Bush for calling him a loser and a liar on national tv and then for Pelosi to first apologize to the CIA for calling them liars and then to the American people for inferring that anyone who opposes Obama is a nazi. There are alot of apologies that should have happened and didn't but it's time to get on with business.

The GOP should start an organization like MoveOn.Org, only pro-American.

Our nation was not founded on the principle of "respect," or more accurately put subservience, for the President. The office of the President deserves no special consideration and should not be implicitly trusted or respected. The President should be closely monitored by the people because, and especially in this day and age, the President is far too powerful.

However, this doesn't mean you should be rude to the President when he's speaking by yelling out and making accusations.
