LA Gov. Bobby Jindal refuses to implement Obamacare despite Supreme Court ruling

if Jindal does this Obama will withhold all federal funding to the state of Louisiana. [/B]

Con govs throwing a fit. This is priceless. The cons are going batshit crazy. That's ok. If Jindal doesn't want to implement the law, then the fed gov will do it for him.
More proof obamaturd is a socialist POS. The law is unconstitutional, no matter what the scotus says.

Except for the fact that the SCOTUS determines what is or isn't constitutional. Dumb ass

This is a strong bold move in defiance of the Supreme Court affirming President Obama's 'Affordable Care Act'. It is also a slap in the face to Obama but I fear if Jindal does this Obama will withhold all federal funding to the state of Louisiana.
That might make the difference....'cause Bobby surely does enjoy those STIM-CHECK$!!!!!!!

What each state should do is start their own INS co. for their residents only. Have a huge pool and those who want to can participate. Those who don't are on their own.

What happens if the ones that don't comply go to the Emergency Room to get their health care and don't pay their bills?

Then the hospital writes it off as an expense, what happens when people that can't afford their monthly insurance premium?

Its pretty obvious you have never managed a business as what you said doesn't really make sense.

Hospitals are non profit or not for profit organizations. Meaning their expenses must match their revenues. When deciding what to charge, they factor in their estimated amount of people that wont pay, then they increase the cost of everything else to compensate for this.

Jindal will implement the provision.

All it will take is a news story of a 52 year old unemployed diabetic from Calcasieu Parish who has no health insurance and can’t get medication because the Governor refused to expand the state’s Medicaid program.

Guess again......

Obama has been carrying that sob story of the woman (from Florida) around for two years and his law is still seen as s**t by most people.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal refuses to implement Obamacare despite Supreme Court ruling | The Ticket - Yahoo! News

Quote:
The Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's health care law on Thursday, but Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a possible Republican vice presidential contender who has refused to establish a federally mandated health care exchange in his state, said Friday that he will continue to ignore it.

"We're not going to start implementing Obamacare," Jindal said during a conference call with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. "We're committed to working to elect Gov. Romney to repeal Obamacare."

Under the Affordable Care Act, states must set up a health insurance exchange program by Jan. 1, 2014, and will receive grants from the federal government to implement it. Several Republican governors, including both Jindal and McDonnell, have put off setting up the exchanges in the hope that the law would be repealed or struck down by the court. Now that the law has been upheld, Jindal said he won't change course and is looking to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to lead the repeal effort if he takes office in 2013.

I guess you missed the part of the decision that said the federal government cannot withhold all funds from a state for not complying with a new law.

Bunch of idiots around here on both sides.

He can at least wait until the election, then he will know if he will be forced to comply.

He won't be forced to comply, the law is voluntary. The same decision you love affirmed that on Thursday. In fact, that part got 7 votes.

Americans are evenly divided, 46 percent to 46 percent, on whether they support the Supreme Court's decision to uphold President Barack Obama's health care reform on Thursday, according to a new Gallup poll. Nearly 80 percent of Democrats agree with the court, compared to 45 percent of independents and only 13 percent of Republicans. Americans evenly divided on court

Totally irrelevant to the thread, but thanks for reminding us how stupid you are.

I Doubt that very Much, Maybe the 30 Million who don't have Insurance now will like it, But the Vast Majority of People against it, wont be seeing any Benefits any time soon. Premiums wont be going down, and they will be paying a new Tax on their Premiums.

Besides none of this is going to happen before Nov.

So Good luck Obama.

So conservatives can attack Obama for not enforcing federal immigration law, but ignoring the ACA federal law is justified? Two wrongs don't make a right.

There is no requirement under federal law for states to do anything. Why is that concept so hard for people to grasp?

It is in place you asshole.

And people think it sucks.

What part of that don't you understand.

Quit making predictions (shove your crystal ball back up your ass...but don't hit yourself in the face doing it).

You missed the Walker prediction (by a lot).

Yes...notice how the law is now constitutional seems to dribble from the lefts mouth like the other stuff that seems to be in their mouths a great deal.

But when they don't like part of the bill.....which allows a state to opt-out.....it is suddenly "wrong".

No wonder this country is in trouble.

Because the sheeple have been led to believe the federal government have all the rights and the states and the people have none.

Perhaps you failed to Read the Ruling. He can not be forced to Comply. He does not have to set up an Exchange, The Feds can do it for him, and he does not have to Increase his Medicaid Rolls. The Ruling was very clear on that, and was actually all 7 Votes.

If the Republicans do not take Both Houses and the WH, we will be stuck with this law. If they do, then it will be on them. They can't just repeal it. They have to have an Alternative, and are going to have to take the Parts of ACA that people like, and replace the rest.

Because it's been ruled a Tax, however it is Much more easy, and possible to Repeal part or all of the law. Taking only 51 Votes to do it.

I am telling you Roberts did the GOP a Favor. They were not prepared to start seriously talking about Alternatives during this Election. Had the Court Stuck down the Mandate, the Debate would have shifted to the GOP's Alternative and NOV would have became About that as much as the Economy.

Now they can concentrate on the Economy, and Bashing Obama over this new Tax, then if they take it all in NOV they can work on Repeal and Replace.

Romney being the Moderate he is, Is much more likely to Compromise with the Democrats and work out a Real Solution instead of this Monster Bill that promises to Fail to Deliver on Lowering Costs, Cost much more than expected, and Reduce the Quality of care for the Poorest among us.

We got this Bill Because Obama and the Dems didn't Compromise, and ram rodded it through using Fear Tactics, and Bribes to Buy Votes. It's Flawed and even most of it's supporters Realize it. It's Flawed because instead of Compromise, Obama wanted it done his way Quickly. Don't tell me anyone does not remember the Emergency with which we were told we had to pass this bill. So much so that they didn't even have enough time to read the final version of the Bill before passing it.

Surely we can do better in a more Sane, less Partisan Environment. Obama Pretended to be a Moderate but turned out not to be. Romney is just pretending to be a right winger when anyone who knows his Record knows he is Very Moderate, almost liberal on many issues.

Everyone is complaining about Partisanship. You want a shot at Government that works together, Romney is the best shot in this Election. Unless you think an Obama Admin with out the Constraints of another Term to Run for is going to be more Moderate than the first time around.

lol
