Check out these two assholes, who voted for Obolshevikcare, now coming out sounding like republicans, over a select one of the zillions of new taxes it imposes on us all!

Franken was in Rochester on Friday, and in a meeting with the Post-Bulletin's editorial board, he took issue with Obama's line of reasoning. "Most medical devices are used by older people, and those people are already covered by Medicare," he said. "So the idea that because you're covering 31 million new people there will be a huge increase in the use of medical devices, therefore justifying the tax, I don't think that argument washes."

<snip>

We hope Franken is correct. Medical device manufacturers employ 30,000 people in Minnesota, or 14 percent of the total workforce. Per capita, no state has a greater employment rate in the medical device industry, and Minnesota's five largest medical device firms generate more than $22 billion in annual sales.

But it isn't just big companies such as Medtronic and Boston Scientific that are getting hit by the new tax. Rochester Medical, located in Stewartville, is facing a tax bill of potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars this year.

This tax almost certainly will trickle down to consumers. Excise taxes have a direct effect on a company's bottom line, so it's a safe bet the price of medical devices will go up. That, in turn, will affect the insurance premiums paid by individuals and their employers.

Then there's this little gem, from Amy Airheadochar:

Her colleagues are serious about finding a way to pay for the repeal, Klobuchar said.

Both Klobuchar and Franken expressed concern that the tax would stifle growth and cost good-paying jobs in Minnesota’s medical technology industry, which includes 400 companies and more than 30,000 employees.

<snip>

“This is about innovation and jobs,” Klobuchar said shortly before the vote.

THE HELL YOU SAY?!?!?

DEMOCRATS admitting that not only do taxes just get passed along to the end consumer, but kill jobs and stifle innovation?!?!?

Well, I'll be dipped.....

Yeah, figures that you whacks would go running for the tall grass, when a couple of your very own come out talking like the very people you profess to detest.

It's also instructive that lolberal gasbags like Frankenstein and Klodochar are fine and dandy with higher taxes, just as long as someone else is paying them.

When have they claimed otherwise? The question with any tax "is the juice worth the squeeze".

Clearly in this case they don't think it is...
