What a bummer. We get all this negative news about Hillary's emails and Obama's deal with Iran, and weather change and all the rest. And then comes this. All of our dreams shattered. No more knights in shining armor traipsing off in search of the Holy Grail. These cruel scientists now tell us:

King Arthur? No, the legendary leader was just a Scottish general who lived most of his life in Strathclyde

British academic claims King Arthur was general rather than monarch

Andrew Breeze says he fought in southern Scotland & northern England

Basing findings on Latin work written in ninth century by Welsh monk

Claims Arthur fought other Britons in 530s, before being killed in 537

Not to worry, Longknife! The Charlemagne elements of the legend originated from a real King--(if you don't mind him being French.)

King Arthur is a reality-inspired fictional character, same as Dracula, who was based upon the 15th Century Prince Vlad of Wallachia.

There really aren't any actual vampires.

What happens to Democrats when there's a full moon?

They're blood-suckers 24/7, 365 days a year.

Let me give you something to think upon.

Vampire bats only exist naturally in one place in the world - The Americas! See Vampire bat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, where did the European idea of humans drinking blood come from?

Some claim it came from the practice of cutting out and eating the bloody heart of a strong foe.

Others say it comes from the hemophilia of inbred royals who drank whole blood to stay their sickness.

So, how did American blood suckers sneak into European literature?

One other thing I've encountered over the years was that Arthur was a leader of the remnants of a Roman Legion stationed in the area.

Bats have always been associated with the supernatural. Bram Stoker made the vampire bat connection with Dracula through newspaper reports from America. Don't forget one of the characters in the novel is from Texas. It's not like communication overseas wasn't possible in the late 19th century.

Camelot is a known fabrication of bogus historians. No wonder the liberal media used the same name for the bogus JFK administration.

Camelot exists, I've been there. It's a theme park in northern England somewhere. Arthur was known to like roller coasters.

However who Arthur is or isn't, or whether there were two or more Arthurs is neither here nor there. We'll never really know, there's not enough evidence out there.
