AKRON, Ohio (Reuters) - Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) rebuked President Bush (news - web sites) on Saturday for trying to "bamboozle" U.S. voters and burying the largest increase in Medicare history with an announcement at the start of a long holiday weekend amid a rush of news at home and abroad.

"He promised again a couple of nights ago to strengthen Medicare," Kerry told a rally at a baseball stadium in Akron. "Then you wake up when a lot of the news is being hidden by what's happening in the hurricane down in Florida, what's happening in Russia with 200 people tragically killed by terrorists."

According to Kerry, Bush[G-d] brought the storm and the high winds so that millions of florida based seniors would not have their radio on the day the medicare cost numbers were made public. Then Bush[Allah] brought pestilence on the Russians by sending islamic martyrs to murder hundreds. All so people wouldn't look at the medicare numbers, which would have been much lower if the democratic party had anything to do with it. Is that desparate clawing I hear?
