then every single SC nominee in the future will be subjected to deliberately false allegations.

The standard has to be some form of proof.

Allegations with no evidence cannot stop nominations of any kind, otherwise they will stop all....
Sorry, but the GOP started that ball rolling with Garland.
Fuck you and fuck Garland. He was never going to get voted in and you dems knew it.

1. Not good to act so desperate you latch on to a story with no proof and are willing to use slander.

2. Sitting on the story until you can cause maximum damage adds to division and creates more distrust. Hard to see them as the party of unity.

3. You risk an even more conservative candidate next time, only then, Trump will give you a list to choose from, then you own the choice, all be it ones you don't like.

4. You are seen as the opportunists you are.

5. You are viewed as losers who will use any means to win, and yet lose. No one like to back a loser more than twice.

6. False rape charges have to hurt your male voter base.

7. People remember the outrage over a no vote for Obama's nominee, now we have a character assassination AND an attempt to avoid a vote. Smells of hypocrisy.

8. The more they lower the bar for acceptable behavior in government, the harder it is on both parties. People will seek an alternative.

9. It supports every bad image the right has of Democrats.

10. All of the assault by Democrats comes from a place of hate.
hell, the liberals attached themselves to the letter from Dan Rather about Bush, until it was proven how much a lie that was....But liberals never apologize for being caught in a lie, they just change the subject or attack you for being truthful.

How to spot a sociopath - 10 red flags that could save you from being swept under the influence of a charismatic nut job
#3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse. Their brains simply lack the circuitry to process such emotions. This allows them to betray people, threaten people or harm people without giving it a second thought. They pursue any action that serves their own self interest even if it seriously harms others.
#4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity, but when they describe it to you in a storytelling format, for some reason it sounds believable at the time.
#5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity.
#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack.
#10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth merely because they say it!

Now there's another women from when he was 18, it's time for an FBI investigation.

This gets better every day.

Correct, and this is why the FBI needs to investigate, and all witnesses need to be sworn and allowed to testify. We also need to have all documents released that Grassley has kept hidden and for McConnell to recuse himself for any other comments, since his wife is employed by the President and he has already provided evidence that his misfeasance (not moving forward to vet Obama's nominee) is in reality Malfeasance and worthy of his censor or expulsion from the Senate.

I agree in spirit, however, you are still trying here to reason and trigger an empathy with and from a core intelligentsia within the radical American Left who can no longer be reasoned with. The smartest among them will welcome in your open handed, genuinely honest and well intentioned ethos of reason and compromise, and then snap shut the jaws of their ideological trap. A popular strain of their core philosophy is to disprove truth and reason.

I think the Dems shold cheat, cheat, cheat and pull every trick in the book. When competing with cheaters, you have to cheat. So, let's get it to the point where everyone is a liar and cheater. Then maybe we can have an honest discussion about the state of our politics, and start with removing the dark money from it.

Your kind rely on the ignorance and stupidity of people. It sucks for you that people are waking up

We can accuse anyone of anything...............unless you have proof then you have nothing......

Anyone making up charges must PROVE it............not the other way around.........the media twists it to he must prove he didn't...........which is ass backwards.
Democrats want a short investigation, Republicans want to bulldoze the country, the unAmerican thing to do. The dupes already know she's lying and hate her. Who needs evidence and courtrooms when you're brainwashed functional Nazis?

“This claim is denied by all who were said to be present and is wholly inconsistent with what many women and men who knew Judge Kavanaugh at the time in college say. The White House stands firmly behind Judge Kavanaugh.”
