CNNUSATODAYGALLUP POLL: ONLY 13% BLAME BUSH
Wed Sep 07 2005 10:42:26 ET

A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll of 609 adults taken September 5-6 shows:

Blame Game -- 13% said George W. Bush is "most responsible for the problems in New Orleans after the hurricane"; 18% said "federal agencies"; 25% said "state and local officials"; 38% said "no one is to blame"; 6% had no opinion. -- 29% said that "top officials in the federal agencies responsible for handling emergencies should be fired"; 63% said they should not; 8% had no opinion.

And only 13% blame the President. Seems like 87% of the population has some intelligence on this matter at least.

If heads roll, so be it, but........
I think more people should be more involved, or at least interested enough in there local and state government to elect ( hell even go vote) competent people in the first place. People just don't seem to care much anymore, they know as we all do, MOMMA government will take care of everything. Right, so why bother? I think this event shows clearly why we must BOTHER.

I'll agree with ya there--Local elections have dismal turnouts for the most part and people just EXPECT that anyone in the government just has to be competent. They are finding out differently. If you want a Mommy you better get out there and vote for a damn good one.

looks like only the extreme leftests are blaming the President. It doesn't surprise me. It looks like 69% of people dont think the federal government is to blame.

Which of course means that as I previously said if the libs keep trying to blame Bush for it, they are going to hurt themselves more.
