Well black folks in general aren't that smart and just go by gut reactions. They don't think, they just run on emotions. They don't know the rebel flag isn't about racism or slavery or any of that nonsense.

In the very early 20th century the flag became the south's symbol for wanting to keep states rights. Oddly enough the only ones in the south pushing for no civil rights in the 30s and 40s were democrats which called themselves Dixiecrats. But overall the flag does not represent racism, and today it is totally devoid of that meaning.
