On the surface as the "victim" wakes up in a hospital room from who knows what the details DEMAND an investigation on many levels. Not the least is that the hospital is forced to notify the police of a suspected rape.
Marahuana consumption is being alleged. THAT demands a UA of Kaepernick. No doubt the NFL has already performed the best UA anaylsis. If Kaepernick smoked any pot they will find it.
Possible "date rape" is alleged.. Kaepernick's and Lockett's involvement need be explained to the Miami Police.
WHAT is Recardo Lockett's involvement as all of this took place in a hotel room paid for by Lockett.. a Seattle Seahawk WR. Not a big star like Kaepernick.. but a guy who may be falling on his sword for the Seahawks.
If Kaepernick is being investigated for drug use and possible date rape then his new contract is in limbo. He was scheduled by most to be getting 18 million a year. NOW what is he worth as the face of the 49ers?
What if Kaepernick is suspended by the NFL for the drug use and the possible involvement in a sex scandal?

The media and blogs in San are being their own worst enemies as this story is going viral there and drawing media attention thruout the NFL as it only helps all the teams in the NFC West if the 9ers stumble on this and there is a suspension on Kaepernick even if he is only proven to have smoked some pot.
If the witness has ingested some kind of date rape drug the police investigation may drag on complicating Colin's standing with SF.
All the Niners need is a possible "rape" case looming over the team's head as we enter the 2014 season. They may be forced to temporarily suspend Kaepernick pending the outcome of the official investigations.
In any case the NFL's plans to feature a Seattle vs 49er run at the NFC West may already be jinxed.

Like you said,even if he is exonerated,this will forever be a story that will be talked about by the media all year long as long as Kappy is the quarterback and will be a controversy for them heading into the season.

Nobody can argue that he resurrected them into a contender.If they want to kep winning,they better bow down and pay him what he wants. so what if the players dont like him,who cares.the players dont like Belicheat either but like they said,he gets results-thanks to Brady of course.

I tend to agree. If the 9ers were to push Harbaugh out, it would be the greatest coaching blunder since Jerry Jones pushed Jimmy Johnson out after he won two SBs. Yeah, they won another one after Jimmy left under the gun totting Switzer. But it was with Johnson's players.
