A Democrat Senator.
I’m sure Democrats will be demanding American citizens can’t drive cars next. Too many illegals running down people.

An illegal alien released by the Biden administration in 2021 has been arrested in connection with the fatal hit-and-run of Kurt Englehart, a senior adviser to U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV).
Key Details:

Elmer Rueda-Linares, 18, was initially detained at the Texas border in March 2021 and subsequently released into the U.S. in June 2021.

The accident occurred early Saturday morning at Kietzke and Peckham lanes in Reno, resulting in the death of 38-year-old Kurt Englehart.

The incident has sparked further debate over the Biden administration's immigration policies, particularly regarding the release of detained illegal immigrants.

Diving Deeper:

The community and political circles in Nevada are mourning the loss of Kurt Englehart, a dedicated public servant and senior adviser to Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, who died tragically in a hit-and-run incident this past weekend in Reno. The suspect, Elmer Rueda-Linares, is an 18-year-old who entered the U.S. illegally and was released by federal authorities last year. This case has intensified scrutiny of the Biden administration's immigration enforcement policies, which critics argue may contribute to such heartbreaking incidents.

Why was he released?

This is out of character for the behaviour of illegal migrants, although not unexpected that there's a bad apple in every barrel.

Because Biden's only concern with law is his weaponized DOJ against Trump silly!
That isn't a real answer but is simply partison grievance.

If you want to grieve about Trump's legal woes make a thread or join one of the several in existence and tell everyone how you think presidential candidates are above the law.

The initial charge against Rueda-Linares of felony hit-and-run has been changed to failing to stop at the scene of an accident, according to the sheriff’s office. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
That was nice of them to change the charges.
