Might be the definition of porn is changing. Sex education classes are getting more explicit. They now teach teens about rough sex, complete with photos, though not sure how far they take it.

One teacher got in trouble for showing the movie with a nude scene even though she stood in front of the screen to block that part of it. I think the movie was Titanic, so hardly porn.

I do think some teachers can go too far and it's clear that schools are trying to take over the parent's role in some areas. Maybe schools should focus more on the basics and leave a few things to the parents to teach.

I am more concerned with teachers who push the liberal agenda by teaching that Republicans are all bad. There are some that do that and the worst part is that the schools don't stop them. It's not until a lot of parents complain that we even find out about it.

What pornography? As the Kansas National Education Assocation noted, the bill is a solution in search of a problem.

The only reason the pornography in "Nineteen Minutes" given to freshmen at Gilford High to read was reported was because a man was arrested protesting it. There are probably dozens or hundreds of schools giving children some of the hottest porn to read. And reading it at school makes it all that much more powerful to the kids. Just unbelievably sick. Teachers and administrators that provide that really need to be in jail for awhile.

If a law is the only way to stop this insanity then let's have it.

Not distributing porn. There are religious parents who simply don't want their children being taught explicit examples of sex in the sex education course and some of that material pushes the limits. Some likely object to teachers talking about gays, bi-sexual people, etc.

It's just sad that parents aren't still the ones teaching their children about the more sensitive subjects. So many kids don't learn to read very well or are bad at math and that should be where we focus when coming up with the curriculum.
