With liberal groups furious over his opposition to the Iran nuclear deal, Sen. Chuck Schumer has been quietly reaching out to dozens of his colleagues to explain his decision and assure them he would not be whipping opposition to the deal, according to Democratic senators and aides.

After news of his decision to vote “no” on the Iran agreement first leaked Thursday night, Schumer (D-N.Y.) has spoken to 20 to 30 fellow Democrats about why he will vote with the GOP leadership against the deal, sources said. Schumer had been planning to make these calls on Friday, before his position on Iran became public, but was not able to do so because it had leaked the night before.

So it's a fake. He'll oppose it in the knowledge it wont make any difference to the final vote. He wins both ways. What a fucking sleaze ball. Then again he is top Democrat.

New York Jews Strongly Oppose Iran Nuclear Pact, Poll Shows

Fifty-three percent of New York City Jews oppose the nuclear deal between world powers and Iran, a poll by Quinnipiac University in Connecticut revealed on Tuesday, underlining growing opposition to the landmark agreement pursued by the Obama administration.

Only 33% of Jewish respondents in New York said they supported the nuclear deal with Iran that would unfreeze billions in assets for the regime in Tehran in exchange for some restrictions and monitoring of the country’s nuclear program.

It's a con job. His opposition is meaningless because he knows the measure will pass regardless of how he votes.
It is a cynical move and he's a shithead. Nothing courageous about it. The very opposite.

Japan attacked us because we were unprepared for war. Vietnam was a leftist run war which the liberals screwed over the people we sent there to fight. We never put the full power of our military there. We were weak in Vietnam, lead by weak leaders, and people like you spitting in the face of our returning soldiers. Do you have wet dreams at night about dead Jews in Israel ?

1) Japan attacked us because we had imposed an embargo on them for oil and steel, and they needed to seize the assets of SE Asia to continue their war efforts.

2) SPitting on Soldiers never happened outside a Rambo Movie. (And unlike you, I served as a soldier, thank you.) No, guy, the reason why we lost in Vietnam is because Ho Chi Mihn was a national hero and the people we propped up were French Collaborators. Jesus Fucking Christ, man, we dropped more bombs on Vietnam than we dropped on German and Japan combined in WWII. We pummelled a smaller, weaker country until most Americans realized it was kind of stupid and demanded we stop.

3) The Zionists have created their own mess. They chose to live in that region where they were TOLD they weren't welcome. Now, here's a thing, if I moved into a neighborhood and a group of my neighbors told me they didn't want me there and were going to strap bombs onto their kids to try to get rid of me, I WOULD MOVE. That's just fucking common sense, guy.

I wouldn't keep insisting people from another neighborhood keep stopping buy to beat up whichever neighbor scared me the most that week.

Bull... Be cynical when it's warranted, a few more Schumers against this sell out deal is all we need to over-ride a veto. Which we shouldn't need to begin with, if weren't for the complete, and utter, idiot corker, and his stupid legislation. Maybe Shumer doesn't want his kids and grand kids to have to deal with a powerful Iran with nukes after he's gone. Im not going to slam Schumer for that. yeah he's a leftist nutjob but on this he's on the right side.

You're living in a delusional world sickly boy. Dropping bombs doesn't mean you win anything. you fight to win, not to just blow up things and leave sanctuaries for the enemy to escape to, but that's a different topic not for this thread. As far as your longing for more dead Jews... We were slaughtered defenseless in Europe. That's not going to happen again boy get used to it

No, dumbshit, what wins you wars is understanding that a man fighting for his own land is more powerful than all the military hardware you can come up with. At the end of the day, we could shoot, bomb, and devestate Vietnam, but we were never going to make them love us.

It's the same reason why you Zionist Shitheads have been fighting the Palestinians for 70 years, and they are still strapping bombs to themselves trying to rid themselves of you. YOu'll get tired of it long before they do.

As far as your longing for more dead Jews... We were slaughtered defenseless in Europe. That's not going to happen again boy get used to it

Actually, we are already seeing young Israelis getting pretty tired of this shit and moving to Europe. The thing is, Demographics is not Your Friend. Just like the Afrikaners couldn't maintain Apartheid forever, neither can the Zionists, and the "Wahhh, Hitler did a nasty to us" is wearing a bit thin with people when you are treating the Palestinians in an equally shabby way.

Guy, what do you think that overriding this veto is going to accomplish, exactly?

Do you think the Germans, French, British, Russians and Chinese are going to say, "Hey, the Senate rejected this deal we made with Iran in good faith" and then not carry it out, either.

Hell, no. What's going to happen is that they will all lift sanctions on their own. Except we won't have a mechanism to really follow up on inspections because, hey we rejected the treaty and they aren't as keen on inspections as we are.

So you showed Obama Jews run this country. That'll show him. And accomplish nothing.

The Jews run the country!:eusa_shhh: We wont have any inspectors in the the inspection teams. those other countries want oil and to business with the terrorist regime. they also started two WWII...yeah lets follow them

It's not a matter of "following" them as it is living up to our agreements and bargaining in good faith.

We know what the Zionists want. They want regime change. They live in some delusion that you can put the Shah's son back in power or something.

But that's not what the other five powers agreed to. They didn't sign onto sanctions we insisted on to change regimes or stop Iran from helping "terrorist" groups. they signed up with the expectation that if they held the line on sanctions at our request, the IRanians would agree to suspend their program and agree to inspections.

Which the Iranians did.

Now we have the Zionists INSISTING that we don't follow through on the agreements WE insisted on because they leave the current regime in place in Iran.

You do get that's kind of bad form on our part, right? That the Europeans and Chinese and Russians and UN would all be pretty much inclined to tell us to take a flying leap for torpedoing this deal.

So the Iranians still end up getting most of what they want, anyway.

I have a few very important questions to ask you, which you'll probably ignore, but I'll ask anyway.

I'll answer them, but you will probably pretend I didn't.

Why must the left pretend there is some kind of conflict of interest between Israel and the United States on the subject of Iran???????

Of course, there's a conflict of interest. Israel wants what's best for Israel. America is looking out for the whole region. The fact is, our Gulf Allies have reviewed the plan and they think it's a pretty good one.

Gulf allies back Iran nuclear deal after US security guarantees - BBC News

ran is the number one state sponsor of terrorism. Is it not in both Israel's and the United State's best interests to marginalize Iran????????

Not necessarily. The mistake you all make is that IRan is Nazi Germany. It isn't. The better metaphor is that Iran is Stalinist Russia. Probably not nice guys, but the ones who are in the position to take the fight to ISIS.

Does it not make sense for both countries to ensure Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon???????

This agreement keeps Iran from getting a nuke. The Zionists don't care about the Bomb. The Zionists care about Iran reentering the international community and having a say in the region.

Where in the world is this conflict of interest you keep alluding to??????

Here's the conflict. Most Americans don't want another war. They are tired of watching their children come home in body bags and without limbs. The Zionists just want us to fight their wars for them.

Yeah you don't have an answer. If the Arab states seek protection from Iran and Israel does as well, where is the conflict of interest?

Answer: There is no conflict of interest. Not between Israel and America, or between the Arab states and America or Israel. Everyone wants to stop Iran from getting the bomb. You're pretending there is a conflict of interest because you want to blame the evil Jews, and you know it.

Except six countries have signed a treaty that keeps IRan from getting the bomb and most of the world is going along with it...

Except the Zionists.

Here's the thing. Bibi Whatayahoo has been screaming about how IRan was "About to get the bomb since 1992.

Netanyahu 1992 Iran will Have the Bomb by 1997 Informed Comment

1992: Israeli member of parliament Binyamin Netanyahu predicts that Iran was “3 to 5 years” from having a nuclear weapon.

1992: Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres predicts an Iranian nuclear warhead by 1999 to French TV.

1995: The New York Times quotes US and Israeli officials saying that Iran would have the bomb by 2000.

1998: Donald Rumsfeld tells Congress that Iran could have an intercontinental ballistic missile that could hit the US by 2003.

Except that it's 2015 now. Iran has neither an ICBM nor a Bomb, and they've just signed an agreement that allows widespread inspections and requires them to close down most of their facilities and give up a lot of the processed uranium they already have for conversion to peaceful purposes.

"But, but, but.... you just hate the Joooooooooooooos" will be the tire response.

if you weren't just an idiot you'd know that Israel and the U.S. slowed Iran's progress towards their goal of nuclear weapons by sabotaging their computer systems and killing their scientist. Without that they'd have the bomb already.

The agreement doesn't require them to dismantle anything, and the so-called inspections are a farce. Why is it you leftist want to strengthen our enemies and weaken our allies. Clinton gave the Chinese missile technology and Obama gives Iran 100s of billions and eventually nuclear weapons. you people are really nutjobs.:cuckoo:
