Aside from that, when you lead a couple of billion people, I would think the organization would need a trillion dollars. Wouldn't you? The True Church is said to have around 120 billion dollars as they have nearly 18 million worldwide with tens of thousands of church buildings as well with their Temples too. And, the LDS are a lay church too. It takes money to run large organizations. Doesn't mean the organization is wealthy. Just mean there is lots of money required to run the daily affairs of the Church worldwide.
I've been a member of the LDS church for 46 years. When I joined, we paid our tithing and fast offerings as we do today. But, back then, there were other things we paid as well if we could. We ran our local church buildings that costed money. Over time, all those other fees we used to pay have gone away because the Church managed the tithing money and business side of the organization so well, we only are required to pay the things God demands like tithing and offerings.
First off, the trillion dollar claim is a lie. The Catholic Church is estimated to be worth about 30 Billion USD. (Bourke, 2018) This includes thousands of buildings voluntarily donated and built by individual Catholics as a gift to God. The RCC does more humanitarian work and charity than any organization in the history of the world. Contrast that to Biden's fraudulent and lyingly-named "Inflation Reduction Act" which cost 13 times more than that. And the money for that is confiscated from unwilling taxpayers and accomplishes basically nothing. Yet you leftwingers don't have a single complaint about that.
