You can leave the country with as much cash as you want, if over a certain amount (I believe 10k) you just have to fill out a form to declare it for customs.

Depending on what country you plan on arriving in there might be limitations on bringing large amounts of USD, but that is another country's laws and has nothing to do with how much you can depart the United States with.
