“Its pretty obvious he doesn’t know a lot about the issues.”

because all the republicans in america are from kentucky?

No, they just sound like they are…
here, watch this, it'll remind you that you are, in fact, allowed to think critically about politics instead of merely consuming talking points from tv comedy shows...

Well, my quote of McConnell came from the evening news.

That all conserve-hate-ives sound like they are from Kensucky and drive cars with license plates that have “E-I-E-I-OH” in them is my material.

I’ll be at Ha-Ha’s in Cleveland on the 15th. Tip your wait staff.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell speaking of Donald Drumpf.

This election isn't about policy. This is a cultural election. No other GOP candidate would have the guts to go against the establishment and openly advance a strict immigration policy. Polls have always shown a plurality of Americans want immigration laws enforced. Bush was the biggest open border supporter of all time.

But even that isn't purely policy. There are cultural implications, economic consequences and the left is losing on this issue. Hillary won't even say the word Islamic terrorist. It is a reflection of the SJW ideology that has infested every leftist institution--and they have way overplayed their hand. They haven't a clue how to beat Trump.

Well, here's one who disagrees:

...is Trump right that in the general election, this media dominance will matter more than anything else, while the specifics of his — or Clinton’s — policy proposals won’t?

I think this will turn out to be wrong. And the reason for this turns on the very thing that Trump cites, rightly, as the factor that enabled him to get as far as he has.

Trump did win the GOP primaries largely through media dominance. But this dominance was not created solely by his crazy antics and penchant for insulting everyone, though those things did matter. It was also created by his actual policy positions. Trump demonstrated an uncanny gift for commanding media attention by — yup — talking about policy, or, more accurately, by proposing policy positions that were so outsize and outlandish that they cut through the clutter and actually were heard by a lot of Republican voters. I’m talking mainly about his call for mass deportations; his vow to build a wall on the Mexican border; and his vow to temporarily ban the entry of Muslims into the U.S.

Now, however, it is the attention-grabbing nature of those proposals that will make it harder for Trump in the general election. The problem for Trump lies in two factors: Their garishness, and their emotional clarity. These things helped him in the primary. But those factors may now be poised to work directly against him.

Donald Trump just said policy won’t matter in this election. He’s wrong.

C’mon…that was funny.

No posts denying Senator McConnell’s assessment of Drumpf? Its okay to agree with him.
McConnell doesn't know that he's slitting his own throat. Does he really believe that the Republicans who voted for Trump are going to forget his treason and back stabbing?

How would we know if Hillary "knows about the issues"? She hasn't given a press conference in six months and she only takes friendly softball questions from former employees of her husband's administration.

It's obvious she doesn't know shit about foreign policy given her disastrous run as Sec of State

With the GOP establishment shooting torpedo's at Trump trying to sink his chances it will be a miracle if he can pull off a win.
I think the opposite is going on. The Republican Establishment has done the math and seen Trump can't win. So they need to put some distance between themselves and Trump before he sucks them down with him .

Trump is killing the Hispanic vote for the GOP for a generation. He needs to be vociferously disavowed if they are to gain any of that lost ground back.

Screw the mexican invaders, You guys can have their votes and the historical record of destroying America into much like the shit hole they fled

Candycorn, what are the "issues?" Be thorough and concise. Then explain who decided those things were the "issues" and why they did so. If you are able to do so, how can you expect someone who knows about real life deals and is not a politician to be versed in emotional trigger point bullshit? If you are unable to do so, you need to learn the purpose of "issues" and how they are geared to the low information voter.

Re-fi of student loans is just a starter.
Preserving Roe
LGBT Rights
Protecting consumers from predatory lending such as payday loans and car-title loans
Forcing companies to put more information on labels (companies use 2 types of sugar to hide actual sugar content)

the list goes on and on.

I think that he believes those who voted for Trump are nobodies as individuals and a non factor as a group. He is right on both counts given that the “anger” has resulted in exactly one sitting member of congress losing their seat to an opponent.
