The Republican party is in trouble. They are philosophically split on this bill. Even McCain won't really say what he wants until he is sure it gets him votes. So the easiest thing to do is blame the left.

Two hours before the bill was voted down, he was still attacking Obama and taking credit for the bill being passed. He is the leader. He flew to Washington. Of course when he was at the meeting, he didn't say anything. No script.

Great. And when we increase the tax on the rich, they leave, is there a possibility we will be better off? We can crash and burn and start over. Like Obama comments, start from the bottom up. Maybe we can be a utopia where everyone benefits. Maybe there wouldn't be 24% of African-Americans families in poverty or 21% of Hispanics. That would be reduced to the greatest minimum (closer to 0%). Maybe Asians won't have the highest median income since everyone would be equal. And the best thing, maybe we have politicians in Washington that actually represent EVERYONE and not play party politics. Maybe we get rid of parties and limit each politician to two terms so more Americans can participate.

Come on! This is the fucking United States of America and you're telling me 12-13 Republicans voted no because Pelosi said something she shouldn't have?? This is the equivleant of 3rd graders not choosing someone for their freeze tag team because they punched them earlier in the school day. Fucking grow a pair, punch them back and pass this bill. Does anyone have any idea how bad a 780 point drop in the DOW is for our economy?? The supply-side economic theory states that when rich people have money, they spend it. When rich people don't have money, they don't spend it. When Coolidge cut taxes in the 1920s and Reagan cut taxes in the 1980s, the economies of both decades did incredible. What happens when the economy sours and rich people are afraid to spend money or even LOSE money? Have you ever heard of the Great Depression?

But check out this alternative. Tax in Country A = 40% vs. Tax in Country B = 32%. What would you choose. If you were rich, you would do the smart thing. We live in a global economy.
