Tamim Chowdhury, a Contracting Officer and Project Manager at the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Washington, DC, recently exited from his position as leader of a radical Muslim organization, Emerge USA. He conveniently left his relationship with the group off his LinkedIn page, while only mentioning his government affiliations. Now, after this extremist part of his life was exposed in FrontPage, he has taken callous postings he had made in Facebook – denouncing President Trump and portraying racist stereotypes – and hidden them, as well.

Tamim Chowdhury once boasted, during an interview, that he was the first National Executive Director of Emerge USA, an organization headquartered in South Florida with a small number of local chapters around the country. Yet, since he departed the group last year, he does not appear to be so keen on sharing the experience. This is indicative of the fact that he left any and all mention of the group off of his LinkedIn page. Why?

Emerge USA, despite its innocuous name, is a radical Muslim outfit masquerading as a political advocacy organization. Emerge holds events at radical mosques, including those associated with al-Qaeda, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and co-sponsors events with other radical Muslim groups. One such group Chowdhury, in his leadership capacity, participated in different events with was the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).

ICNA is the American affiliate of South Asian Islamist group Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). JI’s militant wing, Hizbul Mujahideen, owned the Pakistani compound where Osama bin Laden was hiding out and where he was eventually killed by US Navy Seals. ICNA, itself, has been linked to terrorist financing and has used the web to promote different terrorist groups, including Hamas, al-Qaeda, Hezbollah and the Taliban. In July 2014, ICNA co-sponsored a pro-Hamas rally held in Downtown Miami, where rally goers shouted, “We are Hamas” and “Let’s go Hamas.”

The founder and Co-Chairman of Emerge, Khurrum Wahid, is a South Florida attorney who has built his reputation on representing high-profile terrorists prosecuted by the US government. They include operatives from al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Previously, Wahid served as a legal advisor for the national office of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). According to the Miami New Times, Wahid himself was placed on a federal terrorist watch list in 2011.

This month, this author exposed this info in an article for FrontPage Magazine, entitled ‘Anti-Trump Activist, Former Leader of Islamist Group Working at the VA.’ Also exposed were troubling postings Chowdhury had made on Facebook attacking President Donald Trump and depicting negative and racially offensive stereotypes.

...

Tamim Chowdhury should not be working in any capacity for the United States government, let alone a military apparatus such as the VA. His extremist background and his documented hostility toward President Trump preclude him from being anything but an infiltrator and should render him a threat – to the President and to society.

He should be terminated by the VA without delay.
