The gop lurched from openly 1% elitist to at least verbally populist with Alt-R leanings. However, McConnell has not moved any legislation affecting those views - no changes in immigration and no wall - and I don't see Gorsuch or Kavenaugh supporting fewer individual rights under the 14th amend.

Hillary blindly and steadfastly refused to acknowledge that the Obama years did nothing for the educationally stagnant populations in the middle of the country. However, with the EITC and lower rates, and Medicaid expansion, and pretty much flat property rates, I didn't see how they really were losing what they had. They weren't gaining. Low skill mftring is never coming back. But Trump offered them Gifts from Heaven.

Now it does seem that the Dems are open to conditioning love on ethnicity. As did Trump. But the dems cannot win in the electoral college that way.
