Published testimonies of Israeli soldiers who took part in the military operations confirm the continued use of this practice, in spite of clear orders from Israel's High Court to the armed forces to put an end to it and repeated public assurances from the armed forces that the practice had been discontinued. The Mission concludes that this practice amounts to the use of Palestinian civilians as human shields and is therefore prohibited by international humanitarian law. It puts the right to life of the civilians at risk in an arbitrary and unlawful manner and constitutes cruel and inhuman treatment. The use of human shields also is a war crime. The Palestinian men used as human shields were questioned under threat of death or injury to extract information about Hamas, Palestinian combatants and tunnels. This constitutes a further violation of international humanitarian law.
Justice Goldstone's comments were done in an op-ed published by the Washington Post, there was no "retracted final version". The "Report" still stands in its entirety. In addition, Goldstone was only commenting on one incident the IDF investigated about deliberately targetting civilians as a matter of policy.Not in the retracted final version though. That was just one incident in an op-ed, that's not a retraction of the UN report. It should also be noted, that the other two members that co-authored the report, have not retracted anything.In a personal op-ed, Justice Goldstone contrasted the investigations conducted by the Israeli military into alleged violations by Israeli forces with the Hamas de facto administrations failure to investigate alleged violations by Palestinian armed groups in Gaza. He also commented that the Israeli military investigations indicate that civilians in Gaza were not intentionally targeted as a matter of policy by Israeli forces.
So the original report stands and you're as guilty as sin.While Justice Goldstones comments question one of the Fact-Finding Missions conclusions that certain Israeli attacks during Operation Cast Lead intentionally targeted civilians the op-ed in no way constitutes a retraction of the entire Fact-Finding Mission report. No terrorist actions are excusable regardless of reason, religious faith, country or organization but you can't deny that the Islamists and/or Palestinians are just as extreme as the the Israelites. Personally i don't think either side is good both sides are only still fighting because the enemy is still fighting and sense thats the case it will never end until one side is the victor and each side will do whatever takes to become that Victor.

war is war regardless of the reason why your fighting because you want your enemy dead and it won't end until he either gives up or dies. The problem is in this case neither one is willing to give up, so its going to go on until one side wins, personally i'd rather it be the Jews then the Muslims.
