Why don't you avoid threads like this, then? There are thousands of threads at USMB. There are threads about science, about arts, crafts, writing skills, poetry, the coffee shop and lounge where you just don't talk politics and stuff or out you go with about 6 big guys escorting you out if you err. (giggle), gardening, pets, animals, birds, butterflies, and if you like frogs, you can even start a thread about frogs. If you just like to give your fellow posters a whack, we have three levels below--the flame zone, the Badlands, and the Rubber Room. You can call names, complain about other posters, and they can do likewise to you. There's so many other things you could do, Mr. Sparky. Don't let stuff get you down. Get out there and find a hobby, a foreign country, vacations, everything you can think of. But don't come here to something called "In God We Trust," if you just don't like anything about religion. It's all okay. Gosh, with all those things coming out about child abuse in a church, they called down 200 of them in the Houston area alone.

There' s lots of bad stuff that happens wherever people take their children any more. That's because people don't know what principles are if they're not taught at home or in a loving church environment.

And there's an element in societies of criminality about abusing a child. Some criminals fake being a good person so they can be around children, not just in a church, but swimming pools, roller skating rinks, playgrounds, parks, and national parks. If your parents didn't get it across to you to not talk to strangers, a kid can get hurt badly. Bullies can intimidate kids, and if never called on it, they do so viciously.

I don't know what your reason is for your not liking religion, but it's still a freedom in this country, because once upon a time in this world, people killed Christians because they didn't fight back. This nation gives those coming from those kind of countries a chance to start over and not be preoccupied with killing someone who worships God in a different way. A truly good religion sets out its mission, gathers for worship, teaches children rules for living (some call it the ten commandments) in a way that does not offend or harm other people and teaches higher goals than breaking laws, sowing angst, or hurting someone intentionally.

And if your hatred for other people's religion causes you heart problems or something, you might consider finding a society with goals similar to yours. For many years, the Soviets were atheists, and I'm sure that even though they set aside communism per se, it's still around them, and a large percentage of them do not attend anything of a Godly nature in social dealings, so if you could find a society that reflects your hatred of religion. Best wishes finding somewhere that caters to your likes.
