In first 2 months in office Trump reduced debt by 100 billion Obama increased debt by 400 billion

Each fiscal year begins on October 1st The numbers you so do not match fed data I will have to deal with that later In addition 2007 deficit Was shown as 161 billion by fed data 2008 Was a huge deficits but as I said it included tarp + billions stimulus Return to taxpayers not to government union workersI need to get to a PC later

Maybe someone else could show you the correct data And by the way what have you done with a vigilante I can't find them This is far too painful to use talking typing And then trying to hand edit

Holyfuckingshit! :eusa_doh:

a) The link I posted goes to federal data...

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2015

b) The dates I provided include all of FY2008, from 9.30.2007 through 9.30.2008

c) The debt for FY2008 increased by $1.02 trillion.

d) TARP was signed into law on 10.3.2008 -- after FY2008 ended. No part of TARP had any impact on the trillion dollar deficit we had in FY2008 since TARP started in FY2009.

e) You're probably thinking of the budget deficit and not the total deficit. The total deficit for FY2008 was over a trillion dollars.

This is the second lying bullshit thread on this - from the same NaziCon source. Don't you and Stevie communicate?
What lefties would find wonderful is Trump doubling the national debt in 8 years, like their Messiah did. Well if they were consistent and not such hypocrites. Imagine how wealthy we all will be when the national debt is $40 Trillion. Obama certainly made the 1% even more wealthy. Great job!!!

Nope. Like everything else, Dems lib minions opinions are based upon whose team is in office. They wouldn't give a flying shit if Hillary was in office.

Show me the results of Obama's last year.

We are in BOs' last year until OCT 01, 2017.

This fact was made clear during the housing crash (TARP) all charged during GWB final year 2008. This "one time event" big spike is used to indicate how Obama reduced the deficit. What a freakin' joke.

Off top of my head the deficit was about $250Billion in FY 2007? Then they crashed housing. TARP was added into the disastrous 2008 numbers (but occuring in early 2009). Obama years were more like $1.25T avg over 8 years.
TARP was in the FY2009 budget, not FY2008; and FY2008 produced a trillion dollar deficit.

Your mis-remembering is noted. I have no keybosrd or I would lambaste you.

In 2008, George W. Bush ran a deficit of $485 billion. By the time the fiscal year started, on Oct. 1, 2008, it had gone up by another $100 billion due to increased recession-related spending and depressed revenues. So it was about $600 billion at the start of the fiscal crisis. That was the real Bush deficit. But when the fiscal crisis hit, Bush had to pass the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) in the final months of his presidency, which cost $700 billion. Under the federal budget rules, a loan and a grant are treated the same. So the $700 billion pushed the deficit — officially — up to $1.3 trillion. But not really. The $700 billion was a short-term loan.

09/30/2007 ..... 9,007,653,372,262.48
09/30/2008 ... 10,024,724,896,912.49

Total deficit for FY2008: 1,017,071,524,650.01

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2015

And TARP, which was in FY2009, had nothing to do with that.

List 2009-2017 while you're at it. Don't pretend you have a leg to stand on.

If it's not Trump, it's Obama. Never did Obama show results like this.

And TARP, which was in FY2009, had nothing to do with that.

Your pivot is noted and discarded.

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2015

And TARP, which was in FY2009, had nothing to do with that.

List 2009-2017 while you're at it. Don't pretend you have a leg to stand on.
Your pivot is noted and discarded.

Your inability to regard truth is well known. Who cares what you openly disregard.

You are on to something? If one searches for 2007 or 2008 deficit it shows $161bil and $459bil (but not numbers over $1T). I don't know the true answers? Looks like this data is much different? $1T...07-08, $2T...08-09 etc.

I think some of the confusion is due to the Fiscal year starting during the previous year. hence.......the 09 debt started in 08 budget?

You are on to something? If one searches for 2007 or 2008 deficit it shows $161bil and 4459bil (but not numbers over $1T). I don't know the true answers? Looks like this data is much different? $1T...07-08, $2T...08-09 etc.

I think some of the confusion is due to the Fiscal year starting during the previous year. hence.......the 09 debt started in 08 budget?

Those of us who know what we're talking about are not confused.

Well aren't you something. I can't find it for all the years yet? But it seems they borrow a lot more than they budget for.......during that next fiscal year?

Other Borrowings = (Increase in Federal Debt) - (Official Deficit)

d) TARP was signed into law on 10.3.2008 -- after FY2008 ended. No part of TARP had any impact on the trillion dollar deficit we had in FY2008 since TARP started in FY2009.

They don't match because you are conflating the budget with the total deficit.

I am only looking at numbers. Each year seems to have an "ACUTAL" ending spending. This is where the total debt would come from. Your original data shows the ending total debt by date.

Note in this data: They have a category "other borrowing" at the bottom.

I show 2010. $1.294 deficit + $359Bil "other borrowing" is shown.

now I paste 2008.

note: deficit $458bil + "other" $577bil

Bottom Line: it appears they can spend ANY AMOUNT and just file it under other?
