In case of sexual assault: Cologne vs. United States....

And how many of the women who were attacked in Cologne were raped at gunpoint?

By the logic you're applying to me, you wanted many more women raped at gunpoint in Cologne and across Germany. So they can be more like us.

But why would Cologne want its women to be raped at gun points as you apparently do? Why would they want their rape rate, at about 9 per 100,000 to be more like ours......at 25 per 100,000?

Explain it to us.

See.....you lost the debate, and now you are going into full child mode....good for you.....

I'm merely applying your standards to you.

And can I take it from your stark refusal to answer my question, that you can't think of a reason why Germany wouuld want to be more like the US regarding rape?

I can't think of a single reason either.

Why would Germany want more of this:

Of course....as you descend into child like tantrums when faced with the truth......here we have actual research that shows that guns are the best tool for women to use to stop a violent rape........

And here we have studies that show that guns are the most effective way to stop a rape.....
Guns Effective Defense Against Rape

A woman using a gun is less likely to be raped and more likely to not be injured during the attack....

Guns Effective Defense Against Rape

However, most recent studies with improved methodology are consistently showing that the more forceful the resistance, the lower the risk of a completed rape, with no increase in physical injury. Sarah Ullman's original research (Journal of Interpersonal Violence, 1998) and critical review of past studies (Criminal Justice and Behavior, 1997) are especially valuable in solidifying this conclusion.

I wish to single out one particular subtype of physical resistance: Use of a weapon, and especially a firearm, is statistically a woman's best means of resistance, greatly enhancing her odds of escaping both rape and injury, compared to any other strategy of physical or verbal resistance. This conclusion is drawn from four types of information.

First, a 1989 study (Furby, Journal of Interpersonal Violence) found that both male and female survey respondents judged a gun to be the most effective means that a potential rape victim could use to fend off the assault. Rape "experts" considered it a close second, after eye-gouging.

Second, raw data from the 1979-1985 installments of the Justice Department's annual National Crime Victim Survey show that when a woman resists a stranger rape with a gun, the probability of completion was 0.1 percent and of victim injury 0.0 percent, compared to 31 percent and 40 percent, respectively, for all stranger rapes (Kleck, Social Problems, 1990).

Third, a recent paper (Southwick, Journal of Criminal Justice, 2000) analyzed victim resistance to violent crimes generally, with robbery, aggravated assault and rape considered together. Women who resisted with a gun were 2.5 times more likely to escape without injury than those who did not resist and 4 times more likely to escape uninjured than those who resisted with any means other than a gun. Similarly, their property losses in a robbery were reduced more than six-fold and almost three-fold, respectively, compared to the other categories of resistance strategy.

Fourth, we have two studies in the last 20 years that directly address the outcomes of women who resist attempted rape with a weapon. (Lizotte, Journal of Quantitative Criminology, 1986; Kleck, Social Problems, 1990.) The former concludes,"Further, women who resist rape with a gun or knife dramatically decrease their probability of completion." (Lizotte did not analyze victim injuries apart from the rape itself.) The latter concludes that "resistance with a gun or knife is the most effective form of resistance for preventing completion of a rape"; this is accomplished "without creating any significant additional risk of other injury."

The best conclusion from available scientific data, then, is when avoidance of rape has failed and one must choose between being raped and resisting, a woman's best option is to resist with a gun in her hands.

So more guns mean less rape? Then why with fewer guns does Germany have a rape rate of only 9 per 100,000.....while we are at about 25 per 100,000?

Because that would demonstrate the exact opposite of your claims. And of course, why would Cologne or Germany want more of this?

See...what you fail to think about as you descend into child like argument......

Those rapes that you list with guns will still happen.......with knives, clubs, or the male criminals bare hands.....the problem with your point...is that when you make guns illegal for normal people to own....women have no way to stop any rape, wether it is done at gun point, knife point or by multiple rapists like they are now experiencing in Germany and the rest of Europe....

It is also why they are buying more hunting shot guns in Germany...though they can't really carry them around...

So when guns are illegal...women are still raped, they just can't stop it.......when normal people can own and carry guns...then women can actually stop the rape.....

So Germany....with fewer guns, has fewer rapes. But the US, with more guns has more rapes.

But more guns mean *less* rapes? Your own example contradicts your narrative. Why would Germany want more of this?

What's in it for the Germans to be more like the Americans? I mean, more guns meant that our rape rate is lower than theirs, with less guns.

Right?

Oh...I get it now.....you are only upset when the guy rapes the woman using a gun......you have that anti gun phobia...if he simply rapes her with a knife or his barehands...you are good to go...right?

I check the box that says she can shoot them with her concealed carry gun....you want them raped instead.......our points of view are very clear...and very different....

Because that would demonstrate the exact opposite of your claims. And of course, why would Cologne or Germany want more of this?

Do you think they could ever manage the 25 per 100,000 rape rate here? How many rapes at gunpoint would that take, do you think?

You lost the debate already. Now you are going back to ignoring the fact that Germany has a fraction of minorities that America does, and ignoring that minorities account for the vast majority of violent crimes in the US.

The low crime rates in Germany have zilch to do with "gun laws". Remove negroes and Latinos from the US population and the crime rates are the same or lower than Europe.
