And I voted for him in the primaries.
*shoots self in foot*
I believe in your right to believe whatever the heck you want to. I draw the line when my party talks more about that than OUR REAL PROBLEMS. I'm also looking at you Mr Blunt, do you still want my vote? If so then lay off the religious and moral bullshit.
I await the negs, let the flaming begin......
Except those are the real problems. If we followed the principles of the Gospel, like our Founders did, we would fix countless problems without a single government program.

And how would you propose to do that--without trashing the United States Constitution?
You don't seem to understand that it is not the responsibility of the tax payers of this nation nor the Federal government to legislate the PERSONAL behavior of others.
Nor can it be done. If there is pornography in this world it is up to the INDIVIDUAL--to choose whether or not they watch it. It's none of your business. If a married couple or other wants to have sex with each other--it's none of your business if they choose to use birth control contraceptives or not. This is what we refer to as Personal Responsibility--and the right to live our lives in PRIVACY--without the intervention from state or church--and assholes like you that have a personal opinion--that you want to enforce on the rest of us--in the way YOU think things should be.
BTW--I am a Christian--but I also believe in the rights held forth in the United States Constitution. I am a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE--Tea Party Member.

Your cartoon is disgusting.
Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said that he doesn't believe in the separation of church and state, saying that he nearly got sick while reading a speech about the subject once said by President John F. Kennedy. 'I almost threw up,' Mr Santorum said when talking about the speech during an interview this morning.

It's the TRUTH. Santorum does not believe in the Separation of Church & State--and said he almost vomited when JFK--another Catholic-- stated he would not let his personal religion interfere with the business of this country--as he believed in the concept of separation between church and state.

Sorry it hurts--but this is what you get for supporting a candidate you don't know.

No, that's what I get for trolling the net with random strangers.
True story
On todays Up with Chris Hayes, the host unveiled a 2008 talk by Rick Santorum that could possibly be the only thing to make him lose the American religious vote: one in which he condemns mainline protestantism, of all things, and claims it is now gone from the world of Christianity. Needless to say, these sorts of words coming from a Catholic cannot inspire confidence in the sort of voter that looked askance at John F. Kennedy for being a Papist.
The speech is from a 2008 event at Ave Maria College in Florida, where Santorum notes that America was founded upon a Christian philosophy but the Judeo-Christian ethic was a Protestant one. We look at the shape of mainline protestantism in this country and it is in shambles, it is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it, he concludes.
And I voted for him in the primaries.

Gramps. You could have saved yourself the trouble and anguish...........by just LISTENING to what some of us had to say about that joker.
No matter who the R candidate is, gramps will vote for him/her/it and then bitch about what a dumb choice he made.
Im gonna call it right now...... Santorum is a fucking religious idiot....
I would select "KNOWLEDGE challenged".Im gonna call it right now...... Santorum is a fucking religious idiot....
I'd go with religious bigot rather than idiot.

It could be one of many: America has a "national language", separation of church & state makes him "throw up", he will "ban" pornography, (he does not define what pornography is ) gay Americans do not have the right to have "sex in their homes," protestants are "gone" from Christianity, women should not serve in combat, women who receive pre natal testing are more likely to have abortions, people who go to college are "snobs", women who work outside the home are "breaking up homes".........................kinda endless. And I voted for him in the primaries.

I'm not going to flame or neg you, but it would be nice if you actually specified what it was Santorum said that has you soooo upset.
Knowing what Santorum says is more valuable than second hand reports; I do not know if he is sincere or inexperienced, he & Newt can slug it out as far as I am concerned. Neither man can get my vote, AT THIS POINT.Gramps. You could have saved yourself the trouble and anguish...........by just LISTENING to what some of us had to say about that joker.
