If you're Episcopalian, the founder of your Church was an adulterer who killed two of his wives

Then don't get on a "Religion Forum" dumbass, because debating religion is why we have this forum. You people act all shocked because I dared to attack Protestantism, yet you never say a word when Catholicism is the target. I guess Catholics are supposed to just suck it up and take it, never give back what we get every fucking day.
How very Christian of you.
He's not a Christian, he just plays one on the Internet.

Jake, if you're not going to back up your shit, don't say your shit. Seriously, what a ridiculous waste of time you are, I know from now on not to take you seriously as a debater. You've gone done a few notches in my estimation, down to guno level almost.
If he's such a waste of time, why are you replying? Are you Ronery?

A bigot asshole starts a thread attacking a mainstream religion and then plays the victim card when he/she/it gets some pushback?

Wow, THERE'S blind, dumb faith!

But is that all?

Contemplate a so-called "religion" that worships under dictatorship. Hitler? Mussolini? Stalin? Nay, an all-powerful Pope who is alleged to be, what, God re-incarnated and infallible? Amusing - this cult once was led by a strong anti-communist but now makes up for it by subjecting itself to the diktats of an obvious socialist. But they don't call that self-flagellation?

I've seen from you Blackrook several threads disparaging the religion of others. From Islam to Protestant Christianity, you have demeaned, disparaged and dismiss the faith other folks hold dear. Why is that? As a prostletizer, you won't find many converts if your message is 'your faith is crap and only I know the truth'.

Have you ever heard the old adage, pride forth before the fall?

Perhaps you should adopt a more tolerant attitude for other's religion. Unless your purpose is to belittle other faiths so it can be easier for you and whatever warped followers you may have to actively discriminate, then incarcerate then exterminate those you believe are infidels. We've seen it before. In the middle of the last century in central Wurope and in this century in the Middle East. The zealots will always lose. Would you count yourself in their numbers?
I will repeat what I've said before, I'm not "persecuting" anyone, I'm debating religion in a religion forum. Maybe I'm being more honest than people would like, but the fact is, it is perfectly legitimate on this forum to point out the flaws in other people's faiths. Certainly, I don't see anyone holding back when it comes to the Catholic Church, every time I start a thread on Catholicism, it is endless chiming in about how every priest is a pedophile. All I'm doing here is the same thing I see other people doing to Catholicism. You just aren't used to it, because Catholics usually don't fight back. But now you know that if we do, the facts are on our side, and our attacks can be devastating. Get used to it, I'm only beginning.
Fighting over faith is a fool's errand. My God is better than your Fod. My magic is stronger than your magic. Idiocy.

This is America. Here we tolerate the practices of faiths other than our own. We hold this truth inviolate: we are free to worship as we please.

Anyone who believes that worship is a battlefield truly does not understand why we worship at all. I suggest you cool off and accept the worship of others as their own personal choice and stop promoting yours, or any other, as superior.

Yeah, that's right. If you don't like my threads, don't read them.

Agreed about bigoted asshole playing the victim card, but disagreed it's about faith. It's all about hate and spreading misery.

So sex is meant for procreation... not just for pleasure.
God intends sex to be pleasurable as a gift to us, but we may not interfere with its procreative aspect using artificial methods of birth control. It's a very subtle teaching, and I'm afraid even most Catholics are ignorant on the subject. That is the fault of the priests, who avoid talking about birth control and let it go on, pretending it's not happening.

You ever hear of the religious sect called the Shakers? In 2010 there were only 3 of them left... many have no idea who they are. You know why? They outlawed sex as a sin. So that meant no baby Shakers being born and they had to depend on recruiting people to give up sex and become Shakers. Stop for a second and think about that... and now think about why Catholics would want sex to be about procreation and not using birth control. Let that sink in...
I understand your argument, and the fact is when Catholic couples were obeying the Church on birth control, they had much larger families, but I don't think that's a bad thing.

Does the Catholic Church want more Catholics in the world? Yes, definitely. But I don't think that's a bad thing.

Every other church wants more people too, but most try to grow through aggressive recruiting strategies. The Catholic Church in the United States has never been aggressive in recruiting people to convert. I don't know why that's true, but it is. It has always sought to grow through larger families, and also through immigration from Catholic countries like Ireland and Mexico.

So you don't think that causes room for receiving criticism? Sex which some consider a sin, is ok through the Catholic church as long as you don't use birth control. Heck just look at the main focus of Catholicism, the Virgin Mary. She had Jesus without sex.
No, the only sexual intercourse that is considered moral by the Catholic Church is between a husband and wife.

Mary had Jesus through intervention of the Holy Spirit.

She might have been stoned if discovered, but Joseph was given a dream convincing him to marry Mary and claim Jesus as his own son.
Yeah...nod, nod, wink, wink....

Do you read what you write?

Recruiting... increasing denomination members

ITS NOT ABOUT MORE CATHOLICS

ITS ABOUT BRINGING SALVATION TO THE UNSAVED
NOT BRINGING MORE PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

ITS ABOUT MORE WARRIORS FOR GOD AND CHRIST
NOT MORE MEMBERS OF THE CATHOLIC RELIGION
WHO FOCUS ON THE TRADITIONS OF MEN
NOT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
The Catholic Church is the authentic Church founded by Jesus Christ.
The Catholic Church is the authentic Church founded by Jesus Christ
The devil is a liar!

In the mighty name of Jesus, away with you satan
