If man evolved from monkeys, where are the monkeys that half-evolved into men?

Certainly, there ought to be a species of monkey that had half-evolved into a man, maybe half as smart as men, maybe able to read and write simple sentences, or able to drive a car or ride a horse?

But there is no such species as a half-man, half-monkey.

True, they have been able to teach sign language to apes, but it takes a great deal of human effort to do this, and you must feed apes constantly to keep them interested.

A human baby does not need treats to motivate it to learn, it is motivated by the learning process itself.

Do you have a link to a source claiming men evolved from monkeys? I've never heard a serious claim made to that point. If you could post a source stating such, debate would prove more fruitful.

I don't think that's how evolution work.

It's about mutations. The mutations that enhance survival are passed on through generations. The mutations that inhibit survival eventually die out.

We made them go extinct.

OK, maybe it's not accurate to say men evolved from monkeys. But all members of the primate family are cousins to the homo sapiens species, is that not accurate?

And if that is so, why is there such a wide gap between the intelligence of humans and the intelligence of the other primates?

Why is there no primate race that can drive an automobile, or ride a horse, or work with tools?

No serious evolutionist, has ever postulated that men evolved from monkeys. The only ones who contend such nonsense, are the zombie cultists, who feel threatened by the scientific evidence that destroys the fairytales that their world view is founded on.

Apes, and monkeys both use tools. Next!?

What? Are you talking about sticks to pull ants out of ant holes? That's not very impressive.

Your level of impression is irrelevant. They use tools. End of story...

The theory is we evolved from a "COMMON" primate. This means that evolution took two separate branches. What is missing is the link to the two. Thi sis why it called the missing link.

Sometimes, these branches work, sometimes they don't.

Link to where science says humans evolved from monkeys.

Don't bother looking because its not there.

Such a bizarre train of thought.

There is no race of half-men/half-monkeys, either living today, or in the past. The lack of proof that something is true would normally indicate to liberals that it isn't true. But liberals believe in Darwinism like it's a religion, no proof needed.

As opposed to the earth being 6000 years old and there was an ark?

Many animals use tools. Many make tools.

Used to be thought we are special for our thumbs but nope. Interesting book, The Panda's Thumb.

This is where education comes in.

Get one.

Start by opening your mind.

Then, understand that you're on the wrong track. Learn the facts instead of some nonsense in your bible.

Until you are willing to do that, you can't move any further.

Why would there be? Who ever made such an absurd claim that men, and monkeys interbred, thus creating half man, half monkey hybrids?
This is one of the worst strawmen this board has ever been subjected to... Are you even trying? Or are you drunk again?

The demand that I get an education is strange. I have 19 years of formal education, and during all that time, I never heard of a species of animal that was half-way between a monkey and a man. Seems to me that some creature like that should exist, or should have existed, sometime in history if the theory of evolution is true. When I say, where's the proof of evolution? I am treated like some sort of heretic at an Inquisition. I am condemned for my lack of faith.

Chimpanzees work with tools. They make little tools for all kinds of tasks. They have a little tool that they stick down anthills to bring out the ants to eat.

The DNA of humans and Chimps is the same. It's the order that's different.

I don't believe that mankind evolved from monkeys. Monkeys in several different species, chimps and Great Apes all came from some single celled common ancestor.

The ability to jam a stick down an ant hole is not proof of great intelligence, any more than the ability of a dog to fetch a ball. A tool is something that is invented, it is not just picked off the ground.
