I pose this question to all USMB users:

Ok, Palin answers "Fox News, Newsmax, NY Post, Wall Street Journal"

Then Couric says " why those outlets ?" and it just turns into a redundant cluster fuck....

"Because they agree with my worldview"...

next question. Although if she said FOX news as a magazine she reads, that might get some laughs actually.

She could have easily said Washington Post, NY Post, WSJ, Economist. Next question.

Instead she says..."all of them" haha.

Credit for that link goes to xsited1 :clap2:

But thanks for the rep, Robert :D

No problem, you deserved rep for something else I'm 100% sure of if I wasn't too lazy to find it during a Red Sox game.

And I'll be sure to give xsited1 credit next time xsited1 is around.

Yes, you sure are to get at allegations of bias.

Pretty sad really.

The way Couric interviewed Biden was totally different, just look at the difference in her demeanor......

I can admit when i see bias, you can't, pretty sad indeed .......

not sad, just standard operaltional procedure for a liberal.

In her demeanor? Seriously? Is this what you rightwing nutters are turning to these days? Accusing bias because of how someone acts?

Couric's questions were different for Biden. And I attributed that to the fact that he's been a U.S. senator for 26 years, ran for president 3 times, and participated in debates and submitted to questions from the press all throughout the primaries, whereas virtually no one had ever heard of Governor Palin from Alaska before her surprise nomination as VP and so the press had a lot catching up to know her as well as they know Biden. And silly me, I thought it might be a waste of time to question the foreign policy credentials of a U.S. Senator who has served on the Foreign Relations Committee all 26 years and currently is chairman.

Boy, I guess 26 years of records and interviews and press appearances and campaigns really don't provide much info. Couric should have asked the exact same hard-hitting questions like-
"You’ve cited Alaska’s proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?" (Heaven forbid she have to explain her own statements)
or
"You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight? "
or the predictable concerns about Rick Davis by asking
But he still has a stake in the company so isn't that a conflict of interest?
How dare Couric ask her anything about herself other than "How great are your kids?" "Could you tell us again how you shook things up in government?" "How wonderful did it feel to say no to that bridge to nowhere?"

McCain has quite a dilemma on his hands. I just don't believe that, if he could find a graceful, saving face way out of having Palin on the ticket, he wouldn't take it in a heart beat. There's a major cringe factor for all watching as she speaks publicly. It's not even limited to subjects of state and policy. It's in the simplest of questions like what publications does she read. It's sad and embarrasing (sp). It's like watching a twirler at a competition and just knowing that she's going to drop that baton at any minute. Only this isn't a twirling competition. This is a run for vice-president of the United States. One news commentator commented that the bar has been so lowered that, to win the debate, she just has to avoid saying something stupid.

Jaysus...talk about Cluster Fucks..

Bumbling Palin stumped by CBS interview (+ video) - 02 Oct 2008 - NZ Herald: International and World News

Please John, if you get in, get a clone made of yourself...please!!

You know what is the scary part of your link? It is from a New Zealand newspaper. Sad, very, sad. The jokes about George Bush, and his bumbling errors in office .... are going to look like he actully deserves the Nobel Prize for "being smart" if this woman manages to get placed in the position of vice president of our country. :doubt:

How is Sarah Palin suppose to be able to take over on "Day One" in case John McCain dies if she continues to get smacked around verbally by Katie Couric?

If one can not handle Katie Couric, how will they be able to handle Putin?

Personally, I can't wait until tomorrow night. Despite the fact the format of the debate has been changed by the McCain campaign because poor little Sarah can't handle a simple debate where she might have to go off the cuff and actually answer questions unscripted.
No, she's not ready. I believe Katie herself is more qualified.

katie Certainly Has More Of A Handle On World Affairs.

LEAVE CARIBOU BARBIE ALONE!!!

That's a rhetorical question, right?

She'll handle things exactly the way BushII did.

Badly, by letting the gangsters around her tell her what to do.

She is SO unqualified for that post, I simply cannot imainge what on earth McCain was thinking.

:clap2:
I agree.
There are hints of both sexist and racist tones if you look deep enough.:wtf:
"Oh don't pick on the defenseless white lady, or make her answer anything that might be a sensative subject or not be on her little card that her handler gave her to read for us.
What is that you say? Obama's black? Oh, Mr Obama can you comment on why you want to teach my 5 year old child what xxx hardcore porn is?
And I would also like you to tell me your thoughts on the sub atomic structure of the materials used during stem cell research, as well as the possible unknown moral, philosophical, and legal implications stem cell research could have to future generations if unregulated."

It's a very clear double standard. :cuckoo:
And no I'm not an obama supporter and will not be voting for him. (or mccain)
