I pose this question to all USMB users:

While I haven't seen the Couric interview, Obama didn't exactly give a stellar performance on O'Reilly's show.

A few months ago, when McCain suggested he and Obama have more than the scheduled number of debates, why did Obama refuse?

Why should Obama debate on McCain's terms? That would be weak of him to do, giving into the temptation, and doing it just because people might think he's weak if he didn't. He had a campaign to run, not to give into McCain's attempts at drawing him in. There are three presidential debates. That is plenty of time to see what each canidate is made of.

Absolutely anything is better than having a pure socialist president. By "simple debate" you mean the one where the moderator is totally biased?

1. I'd suggest you don't know what socialism is.
2. McCain had the option of passing on the mod and asking for another, so I guess you can't use it as an excuse if Sarah messes up.

:clap2:
I agree.
There are hints of both sexist and racist tones if you look deep enough.:wtf:
"Oh don't pick on the defenseless white lady, or make her answer anything that might be a sensative subject or not be on her little card that her handler gave her to read for us.
What is that you say? Obama's black? Oh, Mr Obama can you comment on why you want to teach my 5 year old child what xxx hardcore porn is?
And I would also like you to tell me your thoughts on the sub atomic structure of the materials used during stem cell research, as well as the possible unknown moral, philosophical, and legal implications stem cell research could have to future generations if unregulated."

It's a very clear double standard. :cuckoo:
And no I'm not an obama supporter and will not be voting for him. (or mccain)

Actually, given that you misstated what the law was, I think we can all tell that you aren't an Obama supporter.

That said, I'd say that in each case there were issues that people had to tread lightly on.... though not as lightly as any criticism of McCain being met with "but he was a POW".

So there ya go.
