I'd be for it if it were by state/municipality and if the thug community lost state welfare benefits every time some thug caused a problem that we had to pay for the family of a dead officer over, or yea jail time too.
Kinda military though, the whole unit being punished because of the actions of one or two is common place to build unity in basic training. The "stop police militarization" might have a cow.
