Oh, I'm a hypocrite, though....

I've been thinking about this and as irritating as it was, I know that I have been just as much of a snob as this guy. I love to break down my favorite songs and movies and try and figure out what they mean. And, I do give other people crap if their taste in music or movies or books or whatever doesn't match mine.

The difference, I think (I hope!), is that while I do like to break down songs, albums, music, etc., I also enjoy listening to/watching them, I don't see them as simply scholarly exercises or whatever. And, I don't ever look down on anyone who has what I consider to be bad taste in music or movies or books.

But, yeah, after thinking about it for a while, I don't want to hate on the guy when I'm guilty of a lot of this myself. And, now I think I will let this thread die for real.
