It is a fascinating book.
One of the things that stand out is the Rice family values. Too much in my opinion. Her mom was a bear when it came to education and music. Her dad was a bit more rational. Just a bit. He was a bear for education too though. He was big on it though his church.
What got me was the democrats in her home town, Birmingham AL. They were a vicious rat pack.
