Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is filing a lawsuit that seeks to block implementation of the federal health care reform law. Meanwhile, when given the "public option" to insure his family through the state health insurance program, The Cooch chose to do so instead of insuring his family through his law firm. Why would he do this? The General Assembly program allows members to enroll their families for $105 per month- or $1,260 per year. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, these benefits would cost about $13,375 for a family policy on the open market. That's the average family of course- The Cooch would have an even more expensive policy with his seven children. In other words, The Cooch saved about $100,000 over his eight years in the Virginia Senate by enrolling in the voluntary state health insurance program- which he wouldn't even be eligible for with his work hours if the General Assembly hadn't carved out an exception for itself!

So the Couch is trying to deny Virginians the kind of health coverage he himself has.

But I am also one that believes that something that has constitutionaliuty questions SHOULDF ALWAYS BE QUESTIONED.

Bear in mind...will you be hapopy if THIS mandate...say 10 years from now....is used as a precedent to allow a federal law that mandates you buy ONLY Chinese made products?

And our Cross Bornx Expressway has a history of potholes popping up out of the blue every couple of yards.

So I leave myself extra time when I need to use it and take the longer route....the Hutchinson River Parkway so I do not need to worry about it.

Yes, I know...Im a little off beat...but I am a true believer in personal responsibility...and it has worked well for me. Never sued anyone and never believed I needed to.

But then again, I rarely get angry at other people.

And when I do? I blame myself for putting myself in that position. Like yesterday.....Dr. Smith angered me on here...and I saw it coming on....so I logged off as it was not in my best intererst to allow myself to get angry.

But, again, that is me.

As for your AG...I understand why you see it as hypocritical...NMy AG was all upo in arms over the tapping thing....and he is silent on THIS mandate....

Seems both of us have an issue with our politicians....not with each other.
