Human Life International Wants To Get Contraception Included In Global Gag Rule

This make absolutely NO sense to me!. The Bishops think-hell they know- that they can manipulate Trump-who has no core convictions, no real values into doing their bidding.

In addition, this who thing about opposing contraception while also opposing abortion is stupid and hypocritical. These people cant have it both ways. Population in some parts of the world is out of control. The earth cannot feed too many more people, especially in view of climate change, which of course they -and Trump-deny. . Do the Bishops have a plan to fight poverty, hunger, water shortages? The answer is no. Their answer is to just have sex and we all know how effective that will be.

These jackass can't seem to understand that- even if life begins at conception-most forms of birth control PREVENT CONCEPTION.

Human Life International Is Working With Bishops To Get Contraception Included In Trump’s Global Gag Rule | Right Wing Watch

In a small conference room at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington yesterday, Human Life International president Father Shenan J. Boquet said he is working with American bishops on a letter to President Trump in hopes that the Trump administration will expand the Mexico City Policy and “hopefully rid” United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funding for contraceptive programs abroad.

These people just want to keep women barefoot, pregnant and ignorant of their options and that makes me sick:

He said that he is working “with a couple of American bishops” on a letter to President Trump aimed at halting USAID’s financing of international programs that offer or provide education about contraceptive care. Since Trump was inaugurated, his administration has reinstated and expanded a “global gag rule”—also known as the Mexico City Policy—that prohibits the federal government from providing U.S. family planning aid to nongovernmental organizations that offer abortion procedures or provide information about the procedure. More recently, the administration has applied a similar policy to federal family planning funding for American groups that provide access and information to abortion procedures.
Actually the US alone could feed most of the world by itself, and we are NO WHERE near a crisis with population on earth.
That is just fucking ridiculous!

Weren't you one of the lefties who just last week were pushing the talking point of asking how Christians could support Trump who is not very Christian?

And now, here you are putting forth the idea that Trump is too responsive to Christian interest groups, such as Human Life International.

Does that seem odd to you at all?
Not in the least bit. On one hand Cristian's know that Trump will do their bidding and in effect have made a deal with the devil. Trump knows how to keep their support. They are knowingly using each other.

Prevent conception. Start with Africa.
So for once you agree with me! That this is a stupid move! Thank you. However, I would start in Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas

Those places are only over populated, if at all, by immigration.

The people most interested in enforcing contraception on others should arm themselves with condoms and forcibly put them on the black men in Africa.

Or, have a comprehensive catch and release program. Capture those living in a colony, spay and neuter them and send them back.

The UN can add contraception to the gruel handed out at feeding stations.

This is not an insurmountable problem.

Jesus fucking Christ! Who is talking about enforcing contraception? It's about educating people about it and making it available to them

Are you sure? I could swear you were acting like it was unreasonable of them to support President Trump.

(Your drama about "devil" is noted and dismissed as silly.)

Your spin of "using" is just that, nothing but spin.

That won't work. In these illiterate third world nations it never has. Men won't use condoms. Women won't take the pill. It's a lot of trouble. Men are like animals, they rape women and leave them pregnant. They can and perhaps should be treated like feral cats. Capture, spay and neuter, release. Put contracrption in the water supply. The resulting spread of disease will quickly deal with overpopulation. Not only Africa but south and central America as well.

May as well start dealing realistically with this problem.

Actually yes. It is also my opinion that this country has no business imposing draconian theocratic moral principles on others as a condition of aide. The ban on even discussing birth control is stupid and will do more harm in the long run than the aide will do in the short term

Who is keeping birth control from anyone? Why should a group be forced to supply contraceptives? Have you ever considered that controlling, respecting one's libido (not to mention life and creation) is also a valid teaching?

That is insane.....and racist!

!) People do not want unplanned pregnancies. They never did. They neither have the stamina nor the resources to do this. I don't think a bunch of celibate men in snazzy bathrobes know anything about this fact. I will never understand the reasoning beyond this demand that people not use the technology available to alleviate the problem. We use tools for everything else. This is sheer craziness. I also don't understand where the depth of this hatred of women comes from.

2) There's a ship floating around the Mediterranean right now with 600 people on board who have no where to go. Didn't the same thing happen sometime in the past?

You seem to have an abysmal grasp of the issue. The groups want to be able to educate people about birth control and make it available to them . No one is forcing anybody to do anything.

You think that every sexual act is a disgusting loss of control??? I think that couple of billion people across the world would disagree. What has gotten into you? So everyone should be be forced to live according to your little "life and creation" drama? You people are wackos who seem not to have any emotions to speak of.

No one is stopping anyone from doing that. However, there is education about natural birth control and education about artificial birth control methods. I am in favor of both, perhaps done by different groups.

Do you know what a gag order is?

What's your stake in this? "Natural birth control" is not very reliable. And why go through the trouble when there is technology available to make it unnecessary?

Religion is getting sillier and sillier, and for what purpose? It's nuts now.

I think that if it were possible to poll every adult as to whether he or she had sex only to have a baby and not for any other reason, I think that you would be laughed off the planet.

My "stake" is no different from anyone else, so what is yours, personally?

Philosophically speaking, do we treasure and value life to the extent we respect the process that brings life about? Failure of a contraceptive leads to the option of abortion. The option of abortion leads to millions of deaths of those just beginning life. Valuing life seems a good philosophical stance for the world.

So everyone just relax. I am not saying no one (including advertisers) should be advancing contraceptives. I am saying that if a group does not choose to be free advertisement to contraceptives, and have another approach, what is the problem? Others can take your approach, too, if they wish. No one is stopping them. They simply want this group to be about life.

The lack of a contraceptive will lead to pregnancy much more often the failure of a contraceptive, and thus many more abortions, legal or not.
