How Ignorant Is Trump About American History?

Trump has no grasp of current events. It seems pitiful to consider that he has a grasp of history.
This from a ding bat who thinks Reagan was a failure.

Ah, the irony!
Reagan was way more intellectual than Trump. Trump is not intellectual at all. Reagan could also be scholarly and was able to create original thoughts and concepts. Reagan had his successes, but he also failed in many key and important areas. He allowed his administration to become the most corrupt one in history if you use the number of staff indicted, convicted or needing a pardon as criteria for judging corruptness. He failed miserably in his policies and responses to terrorist, making him responsible for the birth of modern day terrorism. One needs to only review and acknowledge the consistent number of terrorist attacks against Americans and his weak or failed responses to those attacks during his two terms as President during the 80's to reach the conclusion of crediting Reagan for the birth of modern day terrorism.
Camp, you lose whenever you question anyone's historical knowledge. That is a given despite the silly airs you put on.

What does "you lose" even mean in that partisan brainwashed mind of yours? You are not disputing anything in my post, just making a kind of generic type opinion based on nothing.

Can't we all agree that Obama is terribly ignorant of American history...much of what he has said, is wrong...but somehow that does not EVER get reported. Wonder why?

Donald Trump's Plagiarized Anti-Semitic Slogan

Donald Trump doesn’t know this history—just as he may not know that there’s a current U.S. Senate candidate using “America First” as his slogan, and his name is David Duke. But he does have a knack for repeating errors similar to those that doomed the AFC. His “plan,” he told the GOP convention in his acceptance speech on Thursday night, “will put America first. Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo.” Yet, as Americans discovered 75 years ago, the world has a way of entangling us in its problems—be they climate change, terrorism, or refugees from war. A candidate who traffics in angry, mendacious stereotypes about people who are fleeing violence and poverty cannot help us build a saner, more tolerant, or safer society.

There was this other movement (using the word in both senses) that preached "one hundred percent Americanism" and picked on immigrants/foreigners, labor unions and minorities in general. It too picked up a lot of WASP supporters.
It was called the Ku Klux Klan. Although it no longer exists as a unified entity, vestiges of it, and copycats playing dress-up (like Duke) continue to this day.

And before them was their nativist political party expression, the Know Nothings, which is basically what Donald Rump is emulating. They didn't last real long either.
What Trump is emulating is their politics of fear.

Reagan was a Hollywood actor who had limited knowledge of anything. Israel invented "modern terrorism." Camp, no offense, but you seem like a douchebag. What college did you graduate from?
I did not say he invented terrorism, I said he gave birth to modern day terrorism. Terrorism as a military tactic has been around for thousands of years. What Reagan did was allow Americans to become targets during his era and failed to responds in such a way that would halt the tactic from being used against Americans. No adequate response after the Beirut Embassy bombing led to the Marine barracks bombing. No adequate response to the Marine barracks bombing led to kidnappings and a long list of attacks, all while negotiating with the terrorist via Iran (Iran/Contra). Lets not even go into support for the "Freedom Fighters" who became the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Political leaders do what seems right thing to do at the time.

If you think that Reagan's support of the mujahaddin was a deplorable partnership and decry what the result of it was, look at your idol, the cripple FDR sucking up to "Uncle Joe" Stalin and where that ended up.

Ironically, it was Reagan's policies that put an end to FDR's communist legacy.

What you call "sucking up" was in reality, FDR's support and manipulation of Stalin to decimate the German Army on the Eastern Front at the cost of millions, as many as 10 million Soviet soldiers.

That is so damn funny...I can't stop laughing...but then I remember the millions of lives lost due to Stalin's Stooge's actions...I stop laughing.

Actually the prize for the most corrupt administration in history would go to the current one although I think it is one the Clintons yearn for and Nixon would also be near the top.
Reagan was an actor. He could act intelligent. But was a pretty decent President because he had intelligent people working for him.
Intellectuals may be really good at thinking about what should be done. That would be a great virtue for President Trump's cabinet. We need a leader and one that can get things done.

If his people working for him were so intelligent why did so many of them get convicted, indicted or require Presidential pardons for criminal behavior and deeds?

About like Hitler demanding the French pay for the Blitzkreig.

You think that's where Rump got the idea that Mexico "will pay for the wall"?

Don't know; don't care. Excellent idea where ever it came from.

Yuh huh. So you like ideas based on pure emotion divorced from reality huh?
That's nice.

The reality is that the President is elected by the People to represent them and look after their interests first. That's part of the job description and emotion has nothing to do with it. Wholesale bringing illegal aliens into the country-especially enemy or criminal ones-is obviously NOT in the interests of the American people. Nothing more real than that..

You mean like Nixon Clinton and Obama? Good question.

The Party of "57 States, Doesn't know our holidays, how old we are or our legal system" President thinks they can talk about this

So fucking cute!
