In one of the other threads, someone posted an article that made this statement:
Some people who grow up in a well run orphanage turn out better than if raised by a "traditional family".
Better? How do they define "better"? That wasn't clear. It got me to thinking about the difference between how a Conservative defines "a successful person" as opposed to how a liberal defines a "successful person".
