How Bush would have taken care of the oil spill

Bomb the shit out of it, then land his plane on a carrier and announce "Mission Accomplished"???
Is this the answer you seek?

PS
And, no Amanda, I don't like Lincoln :eusa_whistle:

Honestly, I hadn't even thought of that. But it's a really, really good answer.:udaman:

The only thing we know for sure is, none of us know, nor can we speculate, how Bush would have handled a catastrophe such as this.

We can speculate all right.

9/11 happened and we let Bin Laden go and invaded Iraq.

Katrina happened and we put tens of thousands of American citizens in carcinogenic trailers.

This could have been a trifecta. Or maybe that was the "economy"? Or the "drug bill"? Or the deregulation?

Considering Bush's record on Katrina clean-up, Iraq, Afghanistan, the economy, the Justice System, the EAP and foreign affairs, how would Bush and the Republicans have handled the oil spill crisis?

We had Bin Laden? Oh, that's right, we did back in the nineties... and we let him go. THEN 9/11 hapenned.

Any speculation on your part only contributes to your Bush-bashing erection and nothing more.

It's not all about bashing Bush. It was the Republicans who set him up and supported every single bonehead thing he did. Worse, they called thinking Americans who disagreed "traitors" (you are with us or with the terrorists). They have kept that up with Obama.

Q. Why didn't Obama call in the US Army Corps (pronounced 'corpse') of Engineers?

A. He thought they were dead.

We both know that if Clinton had taken out Bin Ladin, Republicans would have had him tried for some kind of crime. Republicans spent more than 40 million dollars of taxpayer money going after Clinton. And what did they get?

Do you know that there are some right wingers on this site that swear Clinton was charged with "something" over White Water? That somehow he was "guilty" and managed to "get out of it"?

And since he left office, Clinton has made more than 107 million dollars (so why go after White Water pennies) and he released his records to congress so Hillary could be sworn in as SOS. In all that time, in all that paperwork, if he were guilty of "something", it would have been found.

You're just plain goofy.:cuckoo:

Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Thad Allen, the national incident commander, will work closely with officials on the scene to make sure "every available resource" is thrown into the fight to contain the oil slick and minimize environmental damage, the Department of Homeland Security announced.

"Admiral Allen has overseen Coast Guard efforts since the moment the incident began, when the agency responded quickly to the April 20 explosion in a search and rescue capacity in order to save lives," the department said. More than 100 workers were rescued after the blast on a BP rig in the Gulf of Mexico, but 11 were lost.

Oil Spill: Obama Names Coast Guard Admiral to Oversee Federal Response

Notice, a "professional", not a "horse judge.

After all these years, I still can't believe Bush put a "horse judge" in charge of FEMA. What was he thinking? And this is the guy Republicans "miss"????

This post suggests that Obama fares much better. I don't think so, considering oil spill response. At least, Bush would do the same - nearly nothing to solve the problem.

Bush would've bombed the shat out of the country that attacked our rig, thats how.

GWB would have immediately called his friends with expertise on oil drilling and exploration (and told them now is a good time to raise prices, the dumb shits will believe the price of oil is REALLY about supply and demand and not the manipulation of a cartel).

The left always seems to forget that under Bill Clinton's watch, in 1997 and 1998, two times CIA operatives had Bin Laden literally in the crosshairs of their guns, and Clinton would not approve the shot. He had Lewinsky and Kosovo to worry about, he didn't want to flare up the Islamic radicals any more.

They always forget that. Now, would 9-11 still have happened? Yes, of course, or at least an equivalent but different attack, cuz someone would've still filled OBL's void. Thats the other dirty secret, it's not just OBL, it's radical Islam that is the problem.

But, yes, Clinton could've taken out Bin Laden but didn't.

To Obama's credit, he has not prevented the killing of several top Al Qaida operatives and the pirates. I don't credit him for much, but do for those. He tops Clinton in that regard.
