House passes cojmpromise Resolution giving Dems everything they wanted, ex. Obamacare

Well the Republicans can vote against Obama and the Democratic party all they like, but Obamacare is here to stay. If the Republicans shut down the government just because they hate Obamacare then the Republicans will lose the House; not sure what Republicans think they will achieve as Obama and the Democrats won't pass austerity budgets and send the US back into recession.
A failed post if ever I witnessed one.

The Republicans have already voted to keep government open. Its a historic fact as of right now.

So, if the government shuts down...it's squarely the Democrats' fault.

Do you think no Republicans added any boondoggle amendments to this CR? I ask because you took the trouble to imply it was only Democrats who did this. How were Democrats able to attach boondoggles in a Republican majority House if they weren't all (Democrat and Republican) big spending mutual back scratchers?

Stop deluding yourself.

And lying to everyone else.

No they haven't, they have voted to shut down a government program; and expect the Democrats to just give in to all their demands. The only failure is the one that Republicans pushed themselves, and in 2014 the tea party is going down. :eusa_boohoo:

everything they wanted?

that is a lie.

What's the point of democratic government if the losers get to overturn the decisions of the winners on a whim?
You seem to operating under some extremely flawed ideas about government. Allow me to correct them.

1. Members of the House of Representatives represent their constituents...NOT the "winners".

2. The losing party is under absolutely NO obligation to rubber-stamp the winning party's agenda.

Understand now, or do I need to post some Schoolhouse Rock videos?

If something is wrong with obamacare...Why not fix it? Do what's best for the American people.

Keep dreaming mate, Congressional Republicans have lower popularity than Democrats across the board.

Universal healthcare with user pays would be better, but the Republicans would vote against it even though it is cheaper and more effective. Obamacare is all the Democrats managed, but that should change when the Democrats take back enough of the Congress from 2014 onwards.

i don't mind the Pub suicide, but it cuts 1 per cent plus from growth AGAIN GD it...

A) We don't have a democratic government. We have a representative republic.
B) Elections have consequences. Enough American people were disgusted with how Obamacare came into being to elect representatives to stop Obamacare as much as possible.
C) Nothing in government is above review and elimination.
D) Dissent is patriotic.

Oh, sure, Democrats and their loyal minions in the media will SAY it's the GOP's fault -- and uninformed and stupid people will believe them.

But that doesn't actually define reality, does it?

As a former republican, I learned long ago how to take advantage of their theatrics. This fight that they are putting up for the benefit of the tea party is strickly just for show, but, there are enough people who are going to actually BELIEVE that they are serious about this, that the stock market is going to have some very deep valleys, until the final curtain. This is a serious "buy" opportunity, especially of stocks in the health care and insurance fields.

You heard it here first.

shutting down the govt. because you don't have the votes to kill a program you don't like, is unAmerican and unPatriotic.

Dissent is patriotic.

Used to be. Now it's treason.
WALSH: The climate right now is that Republicans use everything they can to undermine and delegitimize this president. And it's actually un-American. It`s traitorous, in my opinion. Do you want to give aid and comfort to our enemies? Continue to treat this president like he wasn`t elected and he doesn`t know what he's doing! He knows what he did. He knows what he`s doing. I`m proud of him. I believe that he has the stalwart, resolute nature to get this done. In my opinion, sometimes he goes too far, but to talk about him like he`s some socialist out to lunch...

The House just passed a Continuing Joint Resolution that funds the entire Federal government for a year, including all the Democrats' pet projects and funds, even an odd payment of $170K to the widow of former Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ). The vote was mostly along party lines, with a finaly tally of 230-189.

Since the American people voted to put more Republican Representatives into the House than big-government Democrats, the 2012 election produced a Continuing Resolution funding the entire government and all its perks, except for a few new ones such as Obamacare, which is not mentioned in the Resolution.

The passage of the bill leave open the possibility for Representatives to put together a separate bill funding Obamacare on its own. Current progress on such a separate bill by House Democrats, is not known.

With the major compromises offered in the newly-passed bill by Republicans, funding many projects they had previously opposed, it now remains to be seen whether the Democrat-controlled Senate will be in an equally compromising mood. WIll they vote to fund most of the Democrats' pet projects as the Republicans have done? Or will they decide to shut down the government anyway, despite Republican's compromising on so much, because the Democrats did not get EVERY single item they wanted?

House passes spending bill to defund Obamacare - Washington Times

if the house republicans want to pass a bill defunding obama care, they should written a separate bill defunding obama care ... by the republicans adding it to the debt ceiling is the cowards way of trying to force the defunding on you ... as we know and have seen by these republicans they're a bunch of cowards afraid to stand on their own two feet
