House GOP refuses to boost funding for election security

Semantics. Developing phishing software to get access to secret government information is hacking.
BULLSHIT.

'Hacking' is me gaining access to your server / files / e-mails / etc without you being stupid enough to help me by refusing to follow the most basic security procedures. It's finding a 'back door', a way around your systems defenses and 'kicking the door in'.

PHISHING is when someone throws your dumbass 'a line' and you bite off on it when you know you shouldn't.

It's like the old Saturday Night Live skit:

'Knock / Knock'
- Who is it?

'Candy-Gram'

It's got to be connected to the internet in order to be hacked remotely.

Voting machine tabulators are not. You would have to physically have possession of the machine to hack it.

Something you just don't hear about from the DISGUSTING FILTH in the Lame Stream Media

Still not saying Russia hacked the election, but yeah. I don't really trust any of it anymore.

Voting security..... like these guys?

The fact that the government officials were too stupid to not be hacked does not change the fact that they were hacked. If your argument is "They shouldn't have been stupid enough to fall for that." I agree with you. What happened is still hacking though. Software was developed to access information that wasn't supposed to be accessible. It's pretty basic hacking, but it's hacking nonetheless.

Should there be more funding, or is true that the program is fully funded and doesn't need additional funding?

House GOP refuses to boost funding for election security

House Republicans are refusing to provide additional funding for state election security grants in a spending bill despite the move upsetting Democrats pointing at Russia's election interference.

Democrats want to continue funding the grants program to help states boost security for their voting systems, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

Republicans, however, argue that the program, which is overseen by the federal Election Assistance Commission, is fully funded and does not need the additional allocations.
Anything that doesn't include voter ID is nonsense.

Is there any problem the left doesn’t think can be fixed by just spending more on it?

The GOP needs Russia this November to hold the Senate.

Clearly Putin has Mueller, the DOJ and the GOP in his back pocket. Putin is running the executive, and legislative branch by proxy. And, this Kennedy retirement has me thinking. Could Putin have something on him as well? When will the arrests begin?
If Ginsburg finds novichock in her tea, I expect you rubes to cheer Russia’s victory.

We need to double our military spending. That'll stop the terrorists from doing damage is small, organized groups that we can't keep track of.

Republicans control all three branches of the Federal government because they control most state governments, they're not going to do anything to jeopardize that, including ensuring Democrats' votes are accurately recorded.

You snowflakes really need to STOP justifying / excusing Democrats crimes based on the notion they were TOO STUPID TO KNOW BETTER.

IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NOT A VALID, LEGAL EXCUSE FOR BREAKING THE LAW / FOR NOT BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR BREAKING THE LAW....NO MATTER WHAT BS COMEY, LUNCH, AND OBAMA TOLD YOU.

As pointed out, Hillary Clinton had hours and hours of security training on LAWS, REGULATIONS, RULES, etc ... on just about every aspect of classified information, how to handle it, etc... After every training session she was required by law to sign a document acknowledging she knew and understood everything she had just read / watched.

Former Director of the FBI James Comey declaring to the world that he was not going to recommend Hillary Clinton for indictment for breaking Laws, Regs, and Rules THOUSANDS of times with her known illegal unauthorized unencrypted unsecured TOP SECRET server was not only a massive LIE and a clear demonstration of OBSTRUCTION, it was a F*ING INSULT to the Intelligence of every one of our Intel Agencies, to every government worker, to every military member who has been entrusted with handling classified information!

Hillary knew what she was doing.
The govt still has those documents she signed acknowledging she understood all of her training.
Hillary sent memos out to her State Dept employees telling them not to do what she was doing.
THERE IS NO DOUBT HILLARY INTENTILNALLY BROKE THE LAW AND COMEY COVERED IT UP.

The Democrats in the House who hired the terrorist-connected Pakistani spies? They weren't just STUPID - THEY BROKE THE LAW.

The Democrats who did not comply with rules / regs outlining specific basic security procedures, resulting in 6 foreign entities getting US TOP SECRET classified information were NOT just 'STUPID' - they BROKE THE LAW, facilitated ESPIONAGE on a scale that by definition causes 'grave damage to national security'.

HERE'S A QUESTION FOR YOU:

What is more CRIMINAL - taking a photo of your office space, which happens to be a nuclear sub engineering room - so you can show your child one day where 'daddy' worked serving his country....or knowingly operating an illegal TOP SECRET unauthorized unencrypted unsecured server, violating laws thousands of times, and ending up compromising national security by handing over TOP SECRET data to 6 different foreign agencies?

The ex-Navy member was arrested and punished for the photo.

The FELON who knowingly broke laws, perpetrated Espionage, and compromised national security? Yeah, she was / protected / is being protected based on the BULLSHIT excuse that she was too stupid to know she was breaking the law and helping out our nation's enemies.

Democrats need to 'man the f*-up' and start holding their criminals accountable for breaking laws and compromising national security!

Being stupid isn't illegal; if it was you'd be in chains. They were easily hacked because of their stupidity. Yes, it only happened because they are dumb as fuck, but that doesn't change the fact that they were hacked.

Ahhh....you decided to go with the Barry tactic of trying to make a funny ("The 80s called...") rather than actually discuss the facts. Good luck with that, snowflake.

No, being stupid is not a crime.....

- Intentionally operating an illegal unauthorized unencrypted unsecured TOP SECRET server, perpetrating thousands of criminal violations of US law, and compromising US national security (Espionage) by giving 6 foreign entities TOP SECRET classified information is....

- Failing to comply with laws and regs defining the most basic security procedures stating all employees must have a background check completed on them before they are hired, ending up hiring terrorist-connected spies as a result, and giving them illegal access to Classified House files...twice...is

- Finding out about Russian interference / hacking while knowing your Sect of State / DNC Pres Candidate is running an illegal unprotected server and choosing to do nothing about either one - refusing to shut them down, allowing our enemies to successfully engage in Espionage, IS...

Claiming Democrats compromising national security is the fault of Republicans who refuse to spend millions of tax dollars to fix a problem that can be solved by the Democrats simply obeying the law and exercising basic security....

...is like the Democrats claiming that the needless deaths of Americans who were abandoned in Benghazi are the fault of the GOP who would not spend more on more security...when all Hillary and Obama had to do was PULL THEM OUT prior to the terrorist attack they KNEW was coming....like every other nation did with their people, preventing the deaths of their own people

I wasn't aware of any breach of protocol. If they broke the law I would love to see some Democrats in handcuffs. I doubt that will happen, though. What I'm arguing and you keep ignoring is the fact that they WERE hacked, even if it was due to negligence and stupidity.

I am glad to hear you say you would love to see these 60+ Democrats punished for failing to comply with security measures / regs, for NOT conducting background checks that would have immediately flagged them as being connected to terrorists.

As far as the DNC e-mails, we are going to have to disagree based on our definitions of 'hacked'.

Again, I believe 'hacked' is an active term, one that means the 'hacker' aggressively attacks your system and finds a way around your defenses to get in...without your 'assistance'.

Unlike you, I believe sending you an un-known e-mail and you completely ignore the basic security protocols / rules (Do NOT open e-mails from un-known sources, SCAN them all before you open any, etc) and WELOME the hacker in, you have just compromised your own system.

The term 'hacking' is deliberately preferred by the anti-Trump snowflakes because 'illegal collusion' seems much more possible with 'hacking' than it does with a bunch of enemy cyber nerds sitting around in a 'computer bank' sending out 'land-shark' e-mails hoping someone is stupid / lazy enough to blow off their security procedures / rules and just open the e-mail up.
