These EnviroFreaks need to be marginalized for the fruitcakes they really are. Oil is NOT bad.

House Approves Bill to Lift Drilling Moratorium - FoxNews.com
Bummer for Obama but I think he's held this Nation Hostage long enough don't you?
It is called the WORLD oil supply for a reason. As the demand continues to increase in China and India, prices will continue to rise because of supply/demand. Any input to the WORLD oil supply will increase supply which lowers the price. Econ 101, not Daily Kos propaganda.
So by the time we hit some producers, drill here drill now will not have any effect the price on the world market(except a reactionary bump from the speculators) for several years and even after they come online, due to rising demand might not offset the increase in demand from this country.
Yeah, that's what they said 30 years ago. If we would have ignored the EnviroNazis, we wouldn't be having this retarded-ass discussion.

Since when did Obama have to explain himself?
I just dont think he will get away with everything his election
You are seriousley underestimating the ignorance of the American voter.
drill or don't drill....
oil prices will NOT drop by us drilling....oil is on a global market and follows global trends....
the oil drilled off our shore could be sold to foreign countries, there is nothing that governs this and prevents this from happening...so let's just be CLEAR on that part of it too....
That's not how markets work, Dear
Stop believing the bullshit spewed by EnviroMarxists

That is PRECISELY how the markets work, dear. Drilling off US shores will do NOTHING because our existing oil refinieries already sell oil across the glode. Unless of course, you are talking about our Federal government socializing oil drilling off our shores and mandating that it only be sold to the US?

Oil comes out of the ground in different grades. Heavy, medium and light crude grades refer to the viscosity of the crude. The terms sweet and sour crude refer to the sulfur content. Light sweet crude demands the highest price because it is the easiest to refine into gasoline, kerosene, and high quality diesel. Sour crude is the least desirable and is refined into fuel oil and diesel.
It makes perfect sense to sell the heavy sour crude to refiners that are equipped to process it, regardless where they are in the world. In turn, our refiners get light sweet crude to refine into gasoline.
The ignorance displayed to restrict the movement of oil throughout the world by Congressional Dems is rather typical.

Fortunately, in the US about 75% of refineries can handle heavy sour crude,

If you say so. Of course they can't make gasoline out of it.
