Fret not ----fellows in cyberspace--------chalk it up to SPRING FEVER----that vaguely unsettling
feeling that SOMTHIN' GOTTA GIVE....... ------it will pass

I used to always think that. This is different somehow. It's been going for a mighty long time now.

I'm thinking not more than 7 years. Did someone succeed when they sowed the seeds of division?

And a perfect example of what I was talking about...
See, you don't get it.

What is happening is that the NORMAL population is completely fed up with the insanity of the depraved left. The rubber is meeting the road, and the left is freaking out. For decades they have been molly coddled, told they don't have to work, told they are disabled if they are lazy, and further told that there is no stigma to living off other people like the parasites they are. For a half century, wall eyed head spinning schizophrenics have been told that society must adjust to THEM and that their perceptions dictate reality, and that if they don't like what people say, they can stomp their feet and have that person silenced.

It's over. The social experiment failed. Now we're going to have to clean up all the offal that moved in.
Great post. Here is a pix.

On NPR this evening, driving home, I listended to two great interviews - one with two freshmen congress critters - one Dem and one Repub...the other with someone who had previously worked with Gabby Giffords, then later won her seat when she stepped down. The gist was - we are all colleagues here, and that what is happening now has got to stop, it's absolutely toxic to civil society and I agree.

Seriously. This toxic partisan political culture is poisoning civil society.

What the hell is wrong with us?

The left and the right pulling hair and screeching their bumpersticker slogans and broad brush pig ignorant partisan blamegaming? What's wrong with us?

I'm no youngster. I've never seen such a dangerous ambient.

We have someone shooting at one of our few remaining bipartisan non political fun charitable events because he wants to kill a bunch of (insert political party).

The rhetoric flooding the country is poisoning us. And no one wants to take responsibility for stepping up and saying "enough already". For changing it.

Our representatives are colleagues first and foremost. Political opponents second. They recognize it. That violence against one is violence against the others and against our very institutions. Why are we unable to recognize that?

It's a damn shame that our president played such a big role in the hatred and isn't the leader we need to heal the wounds.

It was bad when that blond woman got shot and it's bad now.

Yeah, another Left-Wing violent nut

» FACT: Jared Loughner: Left Wing, Liberal - Blogger News Network

Caitie also said he was a pot head and was into the music of Hendrix, The Doors, and Anti-Flag. “We listened to political punk in high school & agreed with their leftist opinions for the most part. Anti-Flag was our band.”

She states that he adhered to the “straight edge” beliefs of Anti-flag for the first few years of High School, but “Junior year & on, no.”When she knew him, he had lot of friends, smoked pot, and dated girls, “until he got alcohol poisoning” in 2006 and dropped out of school. After that, he became very reclusive and was mainly a loner.

There is NO evidence that he was influenced by conservatives, but there is good evidence he was influenced by socialists. His my Space page, for example, listed Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto as some of his favorite books.

The HATE is on your side. You (collectively) get these nuts worked into a frenzy of hate until one of them thinks he's doing God's service. This is on you. Live with it.

You can't even see it. You're just like those you attack.

It is people...not parties. People have gone nuts. I am so tired and weary from it all.

I'm just plain angry. And DISGUSTED. Have we devolved to our lowest common denominators? Empowered the most hateful amongst us? Sanctified mob mentalities?
...except the right didn't take to the streets over Obama. We bitched about him but the left is very active in doing something about it so how are those equitable?

What has to stop is the normalization of depraved behavior, the glorification of criminality, the constant racial mantra..and the idiotic subsidization of stupid, anti-social behavior.

Oh..and put the crazy people and the criminals behind bars, and LEAVE THEM THERE.

How would you know? You have yet to give him even at least chance. So for me your opinions are way too biased to take serious. You just want to blame. It's time to lay away the blame and try to heal a bit.

He's a sucko piece of crap president BUT he is OUR elected representative. His office does stand for something and that includes basic respect. If he's not the leader to heal wounds - WE HAVE TO BE. We can't just crawl around crying and blaming and damaging our society and blaming the election. We CAN'T allow OUR rhetoric to energize our wingnuts into unspeakable actions because we have a p.o.s. president.

So get the left to stop so we can continue with our republic.

Remember I attacked Obama for years so I aint as bias you may think....The problem with Trump is he encouraged such violence at his rallies and ran on a platform that believed that America was too weak and needed to toughen up. This Kat is exactly what we don't need.

And no, I will never accept cutting infrastructure, science and education.

The O. P. has long been one of the most divisive among us. One of the most polarizing. One of the quickest to try to stifle opinions which differ from hers.

If she is announcing that her behavior will change; its very good news, as she is also a Moderator who should set an example...rather than be one of the blindest and most passionate partisans.

I want to believe she is turning over a new leaf..I hope she is turning over a new leaf...but I am harassed by doubts.

More likely it is a lecture implicitly directed to us Heartland Americans.

Time will tell.

Meanwhile, I am still very angry that Bolsheviks have decided that they will spend all their time trying to undermine the duly elected Government of the United States.

So, what your saying is if everyone agrees and thinks like you everything will be ok. Correct? No 2 sides or 3 anymore? Just a bunch of zombies.

I'll say it again. The Left/Right, Dem/Repub paradigm is a construct. It has two purposes, division and diversion. When it gets like it is now start to look elsewhere, look behind the curtain, other things are happening.

Tell it to MSNBC, CNN, Washington Post, New York Times, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer.

It's funny, Coyote starts this thread and the first thing to happen is it is flooded by Trump supporters blaming every thing on the Democrats. Just like in other threads blaming Bernie Sanders for this latest shooter's actions when they can't quote a single instances where Sanders has told his followers to commit violence, while I post a video montage of Trump praising people in the past of physically assaulting disruptors at campaign rallies as "the good 'ol times," and telling the crowd he will pay for their legal fees if they assault someone. Everyone is willing to spread the blame, but no one is willing to step up and be the solution and act civil.

So when the next instance comes out where there is someone killed by a Trump supporter, which will happen shortly, are the Trump supporters going to make threads praising him as a soldier for their cause? I'd bet on it.

That's just how divided Trump has made this country. I have never, in my entire life seen a country so politically divided as it is right now.
