10 people will be dumped off, at different sites, in Mongolia, with some safety gear, clothing, and 10 items, that they pick from a list of 40 items. Bug dope, traps, snares, any sort of poison, fishing rod and real, guns, water filter, cig lighter, are all forbidden. they can take 1-2 5 lb food rations, as 1-2 of their 10 gear-picks. Nobody in the past has done anything but starve. The prize is 1/2 million $ (clear 1/4 million) and it's never gone to 90 days as of yet. In the past, they've always been dumped in the late fall, so that they dont have to fight bugs, but also, there's no plants to eat and animals are soon to hibernate or migrate. they can take a bow and 6 arrows, or a slingshot. What they should take, of course, is a sling BOW, so as to use baked clay balls or arrows. Rocks dont fly straight, so they are a complete waste of time.

they dont know what to take or do. None of them are very bright. To call them "survival instructors" is an insult to those who really DO know what's what. None of them has had the sense to juice the kelp, or make lots of netting, with which to catch lots of fish, so as to use their heads and guts to bait in better food. They just sit around waiting to starve, or make it happen faster by wasting calories building boats, (instead of outrigger pontoon rafts) building heavy duty shelters, (instead of weaving netting out of strips of the tarps, or unraveling a paracord hammock.
