Second, he has not yet been officially declared a deserter: there has been no official, thorough investigation or trial.

And, third: it does not matter anyway because we bring all of our men home when we can, dead or alive, deserter or not.

You don't leave someone over there based on rumor and innuendo.

First, I've heard there is no solid basis for this report of six soldiers killed while looking for Bergdahl. Let's be sure it's true before assigning blame, because circumstances are important in such matters.

If six soldiers were in fact killed because they were looking for Bergdahl, what were the circumstances? Could the cause of the six deaths be incompetent leadership? After all we are talking about an active combat zone and six soldiers moving about there is a patrol. Should we assume there would be no patrols except for contingencies like Bergdahl's disappearance? What other reasons are there for patrols in that region?

Last, if George W. Bush hadn't sent regiments of our soldiers into Afghanistan for no valid reason, especially after seeing how the Russians had their asses kicked in those mountains, let's lay the blame for all our soldiers' deaths in Afghanistan where it really belongs.

As a final note, please consider how many American soldiers already have committed suicide in Afghanistan, and how many Afghanistan vets have committed suicide or are diagnosed with debilitating PTSD.
