You don't have to stand for the anthem. But if you appreciate living in a free country. You shouldn't have to be told to stand. But if you hate your country, then you will kneel. What in the world are you talking about? Again?San Ramon high school students ban national anthem from rallies
The Regressive Left has taught these children well: If it's American, it's bad; if it's an American tradition, it's worse and must be wiped out of the public square.
And then these people complain when their motives and goals are questioned. We're seeing them played out in real time.
.
And who complains for Earnest Starr, who was set on by a mob who demanded he kiss an American flag and when he refused HE -- not the mob --- was sent to prison and hard labor?
Who complains for the victims of the Palmer Raids deported on the basis of their political views?
How far down this road you wanna go and think "I can stop any time I want"? How much heroin can you ingest thinking you won't get addicted?
Mob mentality. Where it leads.
You really do love to go off on tangents to avoid a point.
Calm down. Have a cookie.

Thanks, that's tempting but I'm off to the dentist shortly.
I thought I just articulated what I'm talking about -- mob mentality. You know, the idea that "everybody has to" stand for the anthem or murmur the pledge of allegiance or whatever. Collective control if you like. Sedition laws and "fire the sumbitches". THAT mentality. How far do we want to go down that road and expect to avoid the consequences? Ask 1930s Germany about that. Ask latter-day North Korea about it.
Why would a high school --- or a baseball or football game --- need a national anthem anyway? Are they unsure what country they're in? Are they hosting the Olympics every week? What's the point?
