Here's how the US should view the South China Sea - Business Insider

It is reclaiming reefs and sand bars and turning them into islands with potential military capabilities, while occasionally winding up in skirmishes with neighbors like Vietnam and the Philippines (the latter a formal U.S. ally) over specific reefs, shoals, and the like.

China is a giant who won`t stop its ambitions. It`s not only huge and populated, its economy will soon overcome the US dominant world one. China gains strategic positions and opposite to the US make friends with other nations. I`m afraid the US won`t be able to make obstacles to Beijing in the South China Sea and then in world politics in general.
