At one time, the guns were kept in local Armories. Almost every town had an Armory. Not every Citizen that qualified for the Militia had a gun. But the could obtain one when it was needed at the Armory. Your comment is patently false.
The 2nd amendment does not mention an armory which is traditionally a military arms storage facility mostly used for training today and also can be a place where arms are manufactured. An armory can supply guns to citizens if more armaments (other that what the citizens own themselves) are needed to thwart a threat to the nation. You are confusing private ownership with the need to protect the country. Private ownership is meant as a protection of the Citizens from the government. You do not know what you are talking about.
Battle of Athens (1946)
That's a small sample of what will happen if the Democrats succeed in stealing the next Presidential election. BTW guns did not end the Battle of Athens. Dynamite did. Talking out your 'rump' again Daryl?
Since that day, there has been procedures put into place to prevent things like that from being necessary in the United States. 1946 had many other things happen that changed how the Guards and the Militias were used. The Government could no longer use the State Guards as their own personal armies to do their own biddings. The call to the Governor in 1947 would have had the Governor not send the National Guard but have him send the State Police to arrest many of the local government officials. Truman started the ball rolling when he had the CEOs of GE and Westinghouse demand that he send in troops to break up the strikes. Trump refused and a few laws were put into place to prevent that from happening again. The Battle of Athens was just a part of what made those changes. We have grown since then to the point where we no longer have to fear of such a corrupt local government. If you have one, it's because you stayed home, didn't get involved and didn't vote.
