Have Republicans lost interest in the "Freedom Agenda"?

Remember when Republicans wanted to bring freedom all over the world?

When they wanted the United States to be a shining example of freedom and human rights?

Have they lost that interest?

We don't intend to impose it on anyone with military force. We've seen how well that worked in Iraq and Afghanistan.

No. But much of the world is moving away from freedom and human rights. The want politically correct limitations and group rights.

You misunderstood, we're bringing freedom from identity politics and the politics of envy.

My success from hard work is not your entitlement.

If Republicans refuse to help their own base, then who are they helping?

The GOP base can't name anything their party did for them in the last 50 years.

At least they can't say cutting taxes for billionaires creates jobs. They proved under Bush what nonsense that was.

OK, what's left?

I remember buying companies under bush just to get their employees and then terminating the client relationships they had....I miss those times....

It's only day two of Trump's presidency....it's going to be a long four years for you
Not as long as it will be for his base.

Trump's first salvo in his brand new war on HIS OWN BASE.

I'm part of his base and that doesn't effect me in anyway shape or form.

You really used some crap from a site that is "breaking news for the Progressive Community"?

You admit to being a filthy, un American progtard?
If you have health insurance, then it affects you. You aren't fucking immortal. Eventually, you will need help. Who do you think you are? Ayn Rand?

Journalist Patia Stephens wrote of Rand:

[She] called altruism a “basic evil” and referred to those who perpetuate the system of taxation and redistribution as “looters” and “moochers.” She wrote in her book “The Virtue of Selfishness” that accepting any government controls is “delivering oneself into gradual enslavement.”

Rand also believed that the scientific consensus on the dangers of tobacco was a hoax. By 1974, the two-pack-a-day smoker, then 69, required surgery for lung cancer. And it was at that moment of vulnerability that she succumbed to the lure of collectivism.

Yep, she ended up with Social Security, Medicare and even lived in Public Housing.

No. We still consider a person innocent until proven guilty. We still have the right to a speedy trial and are not tortured beforehand. We are still a government built on majority rule and minority rights. We remain an example of freedom.

What we need to do is stop vilifying the wealthy. They are not your enemy.

That was utterly bipartisan bullshit to avoid telling "the people" the real agenda of global hegemony.

Our health insurance is fully paid for by my husband's firm, fantastic health insurance.

Here's the real deal, Derp, you won't like it but it's a brutal fact, hard working Americans don't want to pay for your insurance...buy your own and leave them alone. NOBODY is owed a goddamn thing.....including you

See that's the difference between us in you…we don't need government to spoon feed us, hand hold us and walk us through life…It's not always about doing more for us, it's usually more important that government just do less for you. Are you starting to get it?

So you are living off your husband?

The thing is, Obamacare helps even your kind. Before Obamacare, say your husband got sick. Say his insurance was capped at 50 grand. Say his doctor told you what he needed would cost 100 grand. That last 50 grand would be on you.

Not everyone who works for a company works for a big company.

Independent workers pay for their own. Should they be penalized simply because they work on their own and aren't part of a socialistic pool of workers?

And what if the insurance of your husband's company didn't take pre-existing conditions? If you got sick and later admitted to having Chicken Pox as a child, they could say you had a pre-existing condition.

And what if your kid decided to go to college. Could you pay for that and insurance, even with your kid also working?

I don't think you understand how this works. With insurance caps, if your husband got sick, could you take care of him and get him to the doctor if they refuse to pay for it?

It's Obamacare that keeps them from cutting off your insurance.

That's why Obamacare is such a wide reaching law.
