Has there ever been a form of bigotry that american society hasn't later denounced?

The modern version of widespread american bigotry that isn't looked down on categorically is islamophobia, homophobia and whatever the term is for hating atheists.

We used to look down on blacks, now that's accurately viewed as immoral

We used to look down on the japanese, again now immoral.

We used to look down on women, also no accurately immoral.

Why is it that we think this time around, with these versions of bigotry, that our society won't view them as immoral?
