Happy, Happy Dance!

Congratulations, Care!

I can relate. We just got DSL last summer after 3 years of promises. Life in the fast lane is soooo much better.

Amazing how such a small thing, can make a person so happy!!!
if you are a mile and a half from the telco CO, then you should get pretty good speeds
get out over 2 miles and it drops off

Depends, they often run fiber to remote digital concentrator devices and provide DSL from there. I am 7 miles from my central office but only 1 mile from my SLC-5 equipment box.

Is that particular Maine close to Somalia ?
How could it be the super duper, greatest, most technically advanced nation that Satan ever put on this globe not have full coverage broadband.
Shit. I get 2 mb in the middle of Nicaragua, middle of nowhere, for $7.50 via G3 and 4MB here in CR via DSL for $49.
I'm hours from any town over 5K people.
These damned socialist can't get anything right down here.:eusa_shhh::eusa_shhh::eusa_shhh:

it's not the kinda speed we had in massachusetts, but it is much much much faster than verizon wireless....it feels super fast to me!

they were suppose to have it hooked up weeks ago, but they said there was not enough juice in the wiring, or somethin' like that....they had to run another loop of something or other....

as you can see....i am clueless on this kinda stuff....all i know is that it is up and running as of this morning, at $50 bucks a month less moolah than verizon wireless at the minimum, in savings.... that's a 4 day weekend vacay in Bar Harbor or a 2-3 day weekend vacation in Martha's Vinyard!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Yep! Your gonna love it. We had dial up until about a year and a half ago.
Enjoy surfing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
