Half of all 'unsheltered' homeless people are located in one state: report

Recent SF street interview was a guy from Austin. Said he came up as they get $650 cash assistance every month. He said he cant afford to leave that. He had a pretty good tent and sleeping bag right on the sidewalk, almost permanent looking? I think He sells drugs to the others. Busy business when the Aid is handed out.
 
It aint warm in NORCAL for certain. But there are 100s of thousands. When it drops below a certain temp they open NATL Guard armory at night. Huge line of shopping carts and backpCks shivering at sunset hoping to get on. Kick them back out cold early the next day. Unimaginable misery for them all!

This all in and around Silicon Valley near $1million homes.
 
well i lived here for 50 years....and the local news went out and talked to as many as they could....and found that at least 80% are Californians....ill take that over what you read.....
Most homeless stay near where the became homeless. The high cost of taxes and housing have a lot to do with that.
