I am currently participating in this community from Wappingers Falls, NY, but I'll be heading south soon... N. Carolina or Tennessee for the fall, then off to Florida or Texas for January / February.

I have actually been registered for a while now, but I just found this area; I get kind of focused sometimes... some of you probably can guess why...

I must say that I have really liked having this board to share opinions and less mainstream media stories. I wish I had time to read more.

I am hopefully getting closer to stabilizing my home-ec situation such that I can start traveling again.

I've been sitting at my work station so long there's moss growing on my ass.

I haven't seen New Orleans, the grand canyon or Carlsbad caverns, yet.

Dude... You are in for a treat! This country is pretty cool. The best part for me is that I do work on the road. I don't sell anything, but I get to meet lots of people that I don't need to like me, so we talk politics a lot.

I love this place. From Maine - bad roads and warm people, to California - huge, complex roads and busy people, this country is so culturally diverse and yet so intertwined... American culture is like a big ol' friendly mutt dog - you have no idea what it is, but you can't help but like it.

P.S. You're 'moss on the ass' comment has left my minds eye scarred for life...
